It's like a creepy version of real life, where people hate you if you're not rail-thin and sexy like a magazine cover.
Think about it. Psychologically it makes sense, even though it's a digital world.
They even call them fatties. Although I've heard some far worse names directed at scouts 
God... I wish I could tear people in half like a heavy does though...

OP is so right. This is true, actually. or at least with me. I will never ever use a heavy suit (unless maybe I'm cleaning out my inventory).
And as for my suit of choice, I really want to be a scout because they're smaller, faster, and generally look better than the other suits. I went Caldari because Minmatar looks too ugly, I couldn't get past Amarr's weird neck, and Gallente has a tiny head.
As a scout, I don't do any scout-like things. I like being a logi scout.
That being said, I only have scout at basic light frame, because I can't decide if I want to go either scout or Caldari Assault. And the reason for that?
Caldari Assaults have the thinnest waist. I know, because I took tracing paper and compared all medium and light frame suits. But... but... I only have one equipment slot, so I can't be a logi.
(T-T ) Grrrr, this game is so frustrating.

you know that you can spec cal logi right? Its right above the assault skill.
