They cower in a corner waiting to be breached.
The entire team, from HMG heavies with logis attached to a few mlt newbs.
A scout opens his weapon wheel, selects remote explosives.
Sets them in choke points.
A few breach, but are eliminated by the well placed explosive.
He sets another, they breach, instantly terminated.
They team gathers confidence and block the entrances and push the other team back.
We are tied, 0 0 clones.
We lose the battle, but it went from a slaughter to a good fight to lose.
Scouts are heroes to mercs everywhere, if they know what there doing.

the tactic your referring to is doorway defense (w/remotes) and when performed by a competent player can be the diffrence between a victory and a loss.
but they are many effective counters such as flux grenades, scanners , a high ehp sentinel that can survive the blast, and of course (what most players don't think to do) finding an alternate route.
it is mostly used to to stall the enemy team and cause their overall morale to go down. but in my eyes it is a cowardly tactic used by those who don't have gun game or just for lolz
....and btw not all scouts cower in a corner, i'm probably the most aggresive you will meet.
