Think it's possible to change the Gallente bonus to a small rof bonus to rails and blasters and the Caldari bonus to a small range bonus to rails and blasters.
Reason being is:
1) lore friendly
2) doesn't strictly limit Gallente to cqc or Caldari to long range ( amarr and minmatar aren't limited)
3) Because it would be awesome :)

The suits are designed to use their races weapon. I wouldn't want any gallente assault to be touching those filthy rail rifles. I'd imagine caldari would cringe at the thought of using ARs. You have a valid idea, but then the whole slippery slope effect. Next they will make amarr sentinels get reduction to rail rifle recoil and what have you. I don't think anyone wants that. |

I'm still baffled the Min commando has a bonus to Caldari swarms. |

This idea has eve precedent. Rails on Gallente ships get the bonuses along with blasters. Same with blasters on Caldari ships. The difference is, rails benefit more from the bonuses on Caldari ships, and blasters benefit more from the bonuses on Gallente ships. However, both weapon systems are indeed affected.

It used to be allowed.
Once upon a time the Gallente Received a bonus to all Hybrid Weapons, just like the Incubus but then CCP decided that New Eden Consistency wasnt sexy enough for this game.

Swarms are considered missile tech. Missiles = explosives. Minmandos get a bonus to explosives. Logic.

Or that nova knives are Caldari yet they use plasma.
