in a few years time CCP will be used as a case study along with Microsoft and IBM on how getting their first does not keep a company going in the long run.
this slow train wreak is proving very useful for me on how not to do things

IBM is old, like, 103 years old!
It has over 430 000 employees, and has over $16bn US in net income. It is a fortune 500 company (23 / 500 at time of writing), and they have a fancy super computer that'll put anyone to shame.
Now, tell me how many of these things hold true to CCP?
Pretty sure Microsoft is pretty securely lodged in the market too. LIke, pretty much a monopoly in some areas.

i get your point it was a bad example, im more pointing out how IBM completely and utterly missed the PC market and got spanked by Microsoft due to there EGO of we are IBM of course people will do business with us. since then IBM moved into other business areas and "acquired PC companies" but in the end lost in the OS and personal computer market.
IBM is often used at least in my old classes as example of taking your eye off the ball.
Microsoft is often used as a case of EGO overriding common-sense and not keeping your methodologists up to date and how bull-curve and mean bell-curve performance model can kill a corp.
