AR doesn't suck. Sure there are better guns. "Wreck with the GEK" sessions in Ambush are one of my favorites to grind out that ISK. Slap a complex damage mod on there and start collecting tears. |

I'm just upset that CCP Shanghai thought it would be a good idea to add in a class with heavy suits, extremely high HP and tanking abilities with the highest DPS weapon in the game, and not have this as an unlockable.
I'm not mad it's overpowered, I'm just mad that it even exists.

The only thing that sucks is that the plasma rifle and HMG fight in the same ranges so when it comes to HMG vs. Plasma rifle the HMG is going to win the most.
this isn't a balance issue though, its a lack of content issue.

The AR sucks because it has less range and less DPS than any other rifle.
And it's not really even close.
Friendlies go in another direction and allow/force me to defend one area while they work another angle. So, had I (the OPHMGSOB) not been there, I assure you it would've been a CalScout with an ACR, a Commando with dual RRs, and a LogiScout repping them and tossing REs.
That's just the way it is.
Some things will never change.

But it is an unlockable? Like everything else in the game, and more so considering i's basically the only thing without an MLT variant
