It was completely strange, and I was just glad my basically dead clone could earn someone some WP.

I've wanted to test this too. If a clone was down in the middle of one of these hives does that mean upon revive he'll be at full armor? Or does it reset to whatever level nanite injector I'm carrying?

If you get a headshot on a person, regardless of the weapon, it's considered a insta-clone kill. Same thing with explosive damage, if you have 299 armor and you get a Locus Grenade to the face, it will insta-clone you even though you would, theoretically, have enough clone HP to survive it. Usually Standard Nova Knives and sometimes ZN's will kill me but the spawn screen ticks down. However, when that Minmatar scout comes around and knifes you, especially proto-3-complex-sidearm-damage-mods-Ishukone-knives guy.... you'll get insta-cloned.
