Before I turn our new training district over to my Student Intern to administer I would like to put on an event. I was once in a match were each team had 3 Dropships fighting each other, which seemed really cool, so I would like to setup a match with Drorpship pilots and gunners only.
First though, I need a Corp to Co-host the event with me. Let me know if you are interested. Immortal Guides district is:
Molden Heath: Almur: Sakalda VI: District 12
I have the district timber set to 23:00 GÇô 00:00 EVE time. I know that is late for EU and early for US, but that is my reality as I am on Atlantic time, half way between Europe and California. (I am sure it will be changed to something more convenient for somebody once my Student Intern takes over.)
I would be opening my team up to the public, to allow pilots and gunners from any Corp to join, space permitting. I would hope that the Co-hosting Corp would do the same for any spots that are still open once their own pilots/gunners get in.
Premise:
- No ground based AV. No one hacks turret installations.
- Each Dropship forms its own squad of 1 to 3 people.
- We would setup a chat channel for the event, but during the fighting you would switch to squad chat to communicate with your gun crew. Once you get shot down, you can switch voice back to the chat channel as you join the ranks of the spectators.
- Pilots and gun crews would be fighting to be the last Dropship flying, so red and blue are both valid targets.
- It would be nice if each participant could donate a million ISK to the winning pilot (the pilot can distribute the winnings between their crew).
- After the Dropship Death match we can all get on chat and come up with other shenanigans to keep everyone entertained.
Contact me, or post if you are interested in Co-Hosting such an event, or if you are interesting in participating. I will be putting together a mailing list to send information out to interested parties.

lol A Jihad ADS pilot is not by definition going to be the last Dropship standing.
I would definitely go with Rail turrets. I am not sure if missile turrets would work as well against airborne targets, and you would have to be quite the exceptional pilot to get close enough to use Blaster turrets.
I am thinking I might go for more of a stable gun platform setup rather than maneuverability. I am not one of DUST's great pilots by any stretch of the imagination. Going to be playing on Crash Gaden, who is appropriately named for the occasion.

I found a Corp on the same planet to Co-Host the event, so I have now posted the Info on General Discussion.

However I don't expect this event to last long due to skill stacking. I will of course post the names of the winning flight crew after, so anyone who wants to show their support can send them ISK.
