Hello guys,
CPM 1 will placing minutes to its weekly internal discussion meeting in this thread. Some details will of course have to be redacted due to NDA issues but you should at least get some idea of what we discuss.
Feel free to post any feedback to us in this thread but please keep to the topics brought up in the minutes.
Thank you for your time.

CPM1 Weekly Meeting Monday 18th August 05.00 UTC
The meeting was held over Skype voice chat. Kevall was in charge of the meeting, seconded by Judge. Notes were kept by all Attendees: Judge, Kevall, IWS, SMB, Soraya and Zatara. Cross was unable to attend to do a scheduling clash and will be fully briefed after.
Prior to this meeting, CPM1 spoke to CPM0 to be briefed on procedure and any outstanding business carrying over into the new term. The discussion went on for just over an hour and touched on many aspects of the role and the working relationship that the CPM enjoys with CCP Shanghai.
The meeting closed with CPM1 thanking their predecessors on behalf of the community for the time and effort they put in during their record breaking term.
Due to the restraints of the NDA, much of what was discussed in both the meeting with CPM0 and the subsequent discussion within CPM1 cannot be spoken of in detail. It is however a priority for the current CPM to get as much information as is possible released by CCP for earlier community discussion.
Agenda
-Discussion of Hotfix Delta -Redacted due to NDA -Formalisation of CPM Scheduling for subsequent meetings -Redacted due to NDA -Any Other Business (AOB)
Discussion of Hotfix Delta
Following on from our first meeting with CCP Rattati and CCP Logibro, CPM1 had already decided to reduce to a more manageable number, issues that they considered a priority to the community and should be addressed in the next Hotfix. These issues cover many aspects of the game and are considered by CPM1 as being important to the health of the game. A final list has been agreed upon and submitted to CCP for further discussion.
Due to the established pattern for community feedback for Hotfixes Alpha to Charlie, the final list will be made public and opened to discussion once CCP are procedurally ready to engage in that feedback.
Formalisation of CPM Scheduling for subsequent meetings
Due to the different timezones occupied by members of the CPM, CCP Shanghai and CCP Reykjavik, finding a time where all can meet at the same time has been difficult.
However a timeframe of 04.00 to 06.00 UTC has been agreed upon for CPM meetings. These meetings will be weekly every Monday, with a requirement of a weeks notice to other members should a member require a reschedule.
Meetings times with CCP will have to fit around their business day in Shanghai but the CPM is confident that a regular scheduled time is achievable. The CPM members also reiterated their commitment and willingness to participate in any short notice meetings that CCP want to schedule.
AOB
Zatara raised an issue regarding Planetary Conquest to the other members. The rest of the CPM considered the issue and agreed that further discussion and feedback will be required. Zatara will liaise the PC community and report back to the CPM.
The meeting lasted for 1hour 10 minutes. Detailed notes have been circulated to all member of the CPM This summation of the meeting was written by Kevall Longstride and approved for public release by the other members of CPM

I have a question for CPM.
I'm assuming that the two points in your meeting agenda labeled "Redacted due to NDA" are linked with Project Legion. My assumption is based on the fact that as far as DUST is concerned, nothing else is happening excepts hotfixes, and hotfix delta was one of your non-redacted points.
Since it is quite obvious that CCP is enforcing a very tight lid on any information regarding PL (you're obviously not allowed to even mention PL in your meeting agenda, and PL part of forums are completely void of any dev communication, despite the fact that PL doomsday threads are currently the only ones being discussed there), can the CPM at least confirm whether PL is being worked on at all?

I thinks it's safe to say that CCP are not twiddling their thumbs in Shaghai right now.
As to the redacted stuff, please don't assume that it's about project Legion. Delta was spoken of and put in the minutes because it was already public knowledge. Some of the redacted stuff is already out there now, some isn't, and it wouldn't be appropriate to talk about it.
As to another point. We have regular meetings amongst ourselves and we try to have an official meeting at the beginning of the week. Not all of these will have minutes like this one did because it's all NDA and that makes for a very dull post.
"Had a meeting. Can't talk about it"
Very boring and makes for community frustration.

OK, I understand. It is however very strange and nonsensical (I'll restrain myself from using any harsher words), that CCP allows the explosion of PL doomsday threads without even a "we're working on Legion, we'll tell you more when we have something to say". I'm baffled by the fact that a (serious?) gaming company allows such disturbing climate to spread among their potential (and current) customers without even lifting a finger. The last post from any dev on PL forums was cca 50 days ago, and it was nothing more than an "X". I mean, what the hell?

i agree. I was already accused (in a different thread) that I'm foolishy expecting more empty promises and SoonTMs. I'm not expecting anything of the sort. But as I already mentioned, if the majority of active threads on PL forums are of the "Is PL dead?" type, I really think it would be prudent on behalf of CCP to at least post a notice "we're working on PL, and currently don't have anything meaningful to share with the community". Yes, you would probably still have doomsday prophets (there's never any shortage of them), but at least "normal people" wouldn't jump on the same bandwagon.
P.S. yes, I consider myself to be one of the "normal people"

Apologies for the lack of updates.
Truth be told we've not had an 'weekly' meeting these last few weeks because we've been having multiple shorter meetings between ourselves and CCP as work on Delta ramped up. Obviously that work on Delta is subject to NDA, save for those discussions Rattati brings up in the Features forum. So there was wasn't anything we could report.
The process for Delta and how the CPM has worked with Rattati's team has been an intensive but rewarding experience so far with members of the CPM being intimately involved with aspects do Delta that fits with their experience of the game. This back and forth process of information and ideas using the tools at our disposal, Skype chat channels, Lync and Trello for the most part, has allowed for a rapid turnaround in progress for Delta. It's original size was intended to be be smaller than Chatlie, instead it's the largest Hotfix so far.
A serendipitous by-product of this rapid turnaround is that we have a structured narrative already in place for Hotfix Echo which CCP Rattati will start to speak to you all about in the Features and Ideas forum in the next few weeks. We just need to put him an small darkened room for a few days first so he can chill out after all the work he and the team has done for Delta....

As I mentioned in an earlier post CCP and the CPM use Trello as well as Skype, Lync and email in our discussions about the game.
Trello, for those of you who aren't familier with it, is a 'digital whiteboard' capable of live updating amongst a group that have access to it. We use this board to note any threads that might be of interest to the devs, ideas and suggestions that we think may be worth exploring and arranging these thoughts and notes into a narrative for a particular subject.
We have a fairly substantive trello board that grew into Hotfix Delta and I've personally found it massively helpful for organising the work around Delta. Notations made on Trello can't be erased, only achieved, so as a result we in CPM 1 can see the work that CPM0 did with CCP in the creation of Hotfixes Alpha to Charlie. A perfect instruction manual really.
My telling you this is basically a round about way of letting you know that we had another Skype meeting over the weekend and basically hammered out the CPM narrative for Hotfix Echo and beyond. Much of it we cant really say anything about until CCP Rattati starts to talk about in the Idea's and Features forum but we now have a clearer idea on our focus for Echo and any follow ups to Delta that might need looking at.
Delta seems to have broad support with the player community, some changes were not universally liked but were necessary and they'll be a couple of things we need to follow up on in Echo. It's only polite to wait till Rattati is ready to talk to you all about it. Delta was much larger than we'd planned for and I think we might have broke him
Anyways, keep posting the feedback, we and CCP are listening and making notes on Trello. o7

I don't intend them to stop. It's just that the last few meetings have been totally NDA and 'Had meeting, can't talk about it' is not helpful.
Actually as the Trello is public now, we'll likely be able to give a card topic for discussion now even if we can't discuss details. So it's probably going to be helpful in the future as it gives you guys some context.

Wouldn't mind to see attendance lists for the meetings so folks can keep tabs on CPM activity. Had a meeting with X, Y, Z but can't go into details is actually helpful to let players know the communication is still ongoing. Also, referencing a Trello card on the roadmap seems like a good way to give the community a general idea.

Sorry about the lack of updates guys and gals.
Thus is not due to a slackening of our interaction with each other or CCP I can assure you. In fact we're in the process of organising a formal update meeting on 1.1 with CCP very soon
When we started CPM1 it was untried territory for all of us except Iron Wolf so it was a natural assumption that we'd be continuing in the same vein as CPM0, with a series of formalised meetings at a set time. However, our term started in conjunction with CCP Rattati in charge of DUST 514.
As you've become aware with the use of Trello and his continuing massive presence on the forums, his interactions with the player base and the CPM is more fluid and organic than has previously been the case in either the CPM or CSM. In fact if you've been keeping up the situation with the CSM over the last couple of weeks, I'd argue that the CPM's relationship with the Dust Team in Shanghai is far more healthy and productive than it is Eve side right now.
Using Skype, Lync and email, CPM1 is a collaborative endeavour between ourselves and CCP with us being intimately involved in the direction and development of the game. This is part of the reason we never appointed a chairman to be honest, we've just never had the need for the focusing lens that chairman usually are. We talk to Rattati throughout the day, both in his time zone and indeed, ours. The man never seems to sleep....
The situation with Judge was a disappointment on a personal level as I'd chatted to him at length on a few occasions both prior and just after our election and I was looking forward to working him but as we all know real life can place demands on us unexpectedly. His visible lack of public activity had become something of a distraction to many in the community however, so the course of action that the CPM ,with the support of CCP, chose was a regrettable but inevitable one given the situation.
We can can now look forward however to a roadmap that is publicly accessible, transparent and allow real discussion with ourselves, CCP and the player base.
The recent additions to the roadmap for 1.1 with simple trading and optimisations to the UX (user experience), to me at least, show that the accusations that Warlords is all about monetisation to the exclusion of anything else is baseless. There are likely to be tweaks to Warlords post 1.1 including the Warbarges but these will be, as is usual now, discussed in the feedback and ideas forums. I urge you all to use your chance to help shape those further iterations.
Fanfest is soon upon us and while Dust 514's presence will be low key (I suspect that Eve:Valkyrie will be the star of the show), two thirds of the remaining CPM will be there with our passes allowing us all areas access, we'll be singing the praises of Dust 514 to gaming press we can grab. CCP's Rattati, Frame and Rouge will be there also as well to answer questions to those of you going, yes there are a few of you still going from those that have confirmed to me that you are at least.
This is my round about way of saying that I'm still confident of Dusts future both as a player and a member of the CPM, with more information on the subject to hand than than others claiming the same. Warlords is an important iterative step to that future, which with your continued support will be a successful one.
