I find myself falling back in love with this anime again. It's actually been years since I had an interest in it... only ever saw it on TV.
Watched all four movies, downloaded the anime, and I'm on episode 22 now. It's a real luxury to watch every episode in the correct order instead of having to hope that adult swim was showing the right one when you turned the TV on.
I feel like it deserves a thread of its own outside of the anime thread.

Damn... don't think I saw the episode that reveals the mystery behind the Sacred Jewel.
Was Kilala (Songo's cat) really the ancient priestess's partner? Or is the ending to that episode the only hint we ever get toward that end? I'm thinking maybe Kilala's immortal or it was her ancestor.
My favorite character is the Dog General, his father

Most boring 15 minutes of my 9 year old life.
I remember that was one of the few times i stayed up late back then watching Toonami or Adult Swim to watch those cool action shows. |

The series was broadcast on Adult Swim (although it had originally been planned for Toonami) from August 31, 2002 through October 27, 2006.
So I was probably 11 when I first saw it. You just weren't mature enough to appreciate it Joel.
Anything that has to do with Feudal Japan is ******* awesome. This is making me want to rent Muramasa for Wii again.

Inuyasha's writer has done other work, mostly notably Maison Ikkoku. All of them are very long, drawn out works, that never has any real wrap up until the very last episode.
It's a terrible trend for her, she gives you build up after build up, makes you want those two to hook up, *Common theme for this writer* and constantly gives you a taste of more, just to reset relations back to 0.
It's like Oriemo's ending, just over and over again.

most good digital media is a repetition of the original idea. why the hell do you think anime is so successful. people love watching asians in cartoons feel strong emotions and fight each other, lol.
I'll give you my opinion on when Inuyasha starts to get boring but I've got a feeling I have a long way to go. I'm only on the part where they first meet Koga and Kagura.
But I can safely say from watching the movies that it doesn't get old until the fourth and final one.
Oh and I will admit that I skipped episode 38 "two hearts one mind" almost entirely... Nobody cares about the dumb guy at her high school... or about anything that goes on beyond Kagome's parents property.

Did you hear of the other thing they did?
They finally finished it.
Inuyasha - The FInal Act
Was a big Inuyasha fan but I only watched the first episode. But I was so out of touch I had to stop (I may have missed some episodes).
Eventually I plan to just marathon it beginning to end, and not episode roulette it.

I've watched it religiously twice them both times stopped and not finished it.
I watched it in english though which might, depending on who you ask, ruin the anime.... at the end of the english dub and am waiting on the final chapter/season.....not sure if I want to finish it really.

i will watch the entire thing UNLESS it starts getting intolerable like the last two seasons of the 2003 TMNT when i was binging on it... *shudders* i'd like to strangle whoever wrote the story for those seasons...
and for me, the nostalgia just forces me to watch it in english. plus i kind of hate reading from the bottom of the screen instead of actually watching the animation
i went through a huge binge yesterday... i'm all the way up to where Inuyasha broke through Naraku's barrier.
i love when sesshomaru and inuyasha transform into true demons. **** makes MY blood boil
