So yeah id like to see new stealth variations and these are my proposals. The current cloak works fine. I'm sure many of you who reads this agree with me. It turns you ALMOST completely invisble when not moving. You are a SLIGHTLY A VISIBLE BLUR. When moving you are a clear figure. Basically a moving window. Hard to see.
I have to types of version id like to see.
1. Camouflage cloak.
My idea of it is that it's actualy not a cloak, but a high slot mod that is idk about half the amout of pg/CPU of a cloak. I feel it should be a high slot because of how it works with shields. Before I explain how it would work, let me tell you that both of my proposals are different than the current cloak. The cloak makes you ALMOST INVISIBLE AND HARD TO SEE. Both of my proposals are ment to be EASILY SEEN BUT EASILY CONFUSED ASWELL. So let me begin. The camo cloak basically covers you on colors. Take a gal scout. Now imagine it running along a wall towards you. Now you can see it and shoot it but he is the same color and has the same details as the wall behind him. His feet are the same as the ground he moves on. You can see and shoot him if you noticed him before. If you didn't and you just turned around to check, you probably won't see him. That's how it prompts stealth. This camo is made more for your shotgun scout. Now I said it's not a cloak and I said it should be high slot. I also feel it should always be active. With a cloak, you need to select it and activate it and you get only so much time to use it. I feel that's good because your hard to see. So the camo should always be on and needs no activation. It's already integrated the way shields are. At each tier, the color should be enhanced and make it harder to see.
2. The BLUR
So this one is applied to armor. This is more similar to cloak and benefits sniper scouts. When not moving. You are a EXTREMELY NOTICABLE BLUR. When walking, you are less blurry and still seen. When running, the effect wears and you are a standard scout. The con is that snipers will be harder to spot now but since it can be used with any dropsuit then you will be less visible to snipers to so it kinda cancels. This one is handy for new player snipers as they will last more on the field and have better chances to kill.
What do you think? I think if this ever becomes something both should be half the pg/CPU of cloak.

I think what you are suggesting is more of a "chameleon" type cloak, which I am not totally against. However, I think its equipment and should be in equipment slot. Not always on. Its bad enough that people are running around cloaked nearly the entire match as it is.
I run scout a lot and still dont like cloaks. If anything, they should only provide the "chameleon" effect you described, but not make you invisible to radar/scans too.
Currently, I think cloaks make you fuzzy at std level and pretty much invisible at proto level. And, they last a pretty long time too. I know cloaks got a decent nerf but, still there are too many scouts who's only real skill as a scout comes from being cloaked all the time. |

Yeah I forgot to add that it's only visible effects it gives you can still be scanned. No scan bonus and yes chameleon

Both of these are different from the cloak. These are made to BE SEEN BUT BE CONFUSED while the cloak is not be seen
