When I equip NK, I hold the two knives normally. When I hit melee however, instead of using my arm or gun, it slashes with a knife. Would this mean that the melee damage will be that of the knife or that of the standard arm?

When you hit melee, you get melee damage even if you are holding knives.
In order to get the knife damage you have to pull the trigger buttons.

Yup...personally I think it should add the melee damage for finishing off people. So with proto it should do around 880 on a non minmatar scout.

To clear up any misconceptions:
1. Melee and Nova Knife damage are two entirely different things and thus are strictly applied separately even if you equip knives and attack with melee.
2. Sidearm damage mods have no effect on melee damage and myofibrils have no effect on nova knife damage. Don't confuse those two.

I know those two are different, it's just that when I saw the knife fly instead of my hand the question popped in my head.
