DUST Search - So, i think the laser rifle is amazing.

It's an amazing area denial weapon if used right, it just lacks the range flexibility that most other weapons get, so you need a good backup if something gets in your face.

Maybe you won't melt sentinels, but you can still kill a lot of people with a no-proficiency LR if you know what you are doing.. (The godfather of tactical logistics)

This is great advice but I also suggest that if this becomes your main playstyle also get the commando to proto for the laser damage and get your damage mods up so your Lr has huge damage and your rr has good damage too, but if I was you , I'd get yourself some allotech rep hives, they already see that laser so you may as well stand in two rep gods of double bubble magic and rep at 80 a second SUPER NOVA KNIFE SAIYAN 4

Amarr in fact is pretty ideal for commandos along with caldari because they are fat suits but have weapons that are good at range. For example: Amarr: A laser rifle and a scrambler rifle Caldari: A sniper rifle and a rail rifle. Besides I could be wrong but I thought the Amarr assault bonus slowed heating? Does it slow heating or speed up cooldown? If it speeds up cooldown then I could see why players would want the assault but I still think its a better weapon for the commando and the scrambler has more synergy for assaults. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure the laser rifle does more damage the hotter it gets and not the longer it hits a target. Hence why when a laser rifle is near overheating you can rake an extra target for a quick kill. Edit: The wombo av combo of the minmitar SL and CR or the Mass driver AOE + CR are pretty great too, the only one to me that is meh is the Galmmando. The shortest range rifle + a PLC or shotgun on a fat suit... ehhhhh....

That's why I suck at aiming, but I like it for Knives so it stays. ... okay, no, it won't. I'm constantly changing it. Dust sensitivity is weird.
