much like vehicle recall timer could you give them a 10s timer that is reduced by 1s per skill lvl (5s at lvl 5) and higher tiers further reduce timer(basic:1s reduction, advanced:3s, proto 4s) for two reasons : being revived in a hostile area to be killed again and to inspire players to run better tier needles.
just an idea welcome to all feedback.

I understand you are trying to solve the die-revive cycle, but it will make using needles a nightmare. In an intense fire-fight there are often corpses waiting to be revived everywhere. If someone only has ADV needles, they now have to wait 4-6s between each revive. In which time many will bleed out and the enemy makes a second push.
People shouldn't be forced to use proto in order to be effective. Your idea will make needles in general a waste of time to use, and with less people being revived battles will be over very fast (in my opinion).
If needles were given nanite counts that needed refilling at depots, or a capacitor similar to the cloaks (each revive uses a set % or single revive, fast recharge of 1 or 2 secs), it may help discourage risky revives. However the people who constantly revive in a sea of red do so for the WP, not because they are trying to help. Even my ideas would only hinder them slightly at best.

fair enough as i said was just an idea, the idea of recharge is a good idea ,but it still doesn't solve the risky revive issue,
maybe if they added the setting in options to where your character couldn't be revived by tiers below advanced, or only squad mates could revive you setting in options ?

Nothing gets changed without ideas .
An option to set who you accept revives from is actually pretty good. If you're running with a squad you can be more certain of a good revive. Whereas if you're messing around in cheap fits, let everyone revive you, because who cares?
It would be a client-side update so don't think we can expect anything like it any time soon. Needle trolling is something that needs a resolution, but it's not a big enough issue to be high priority. |
