Is is that it cost to much SP and you want easy mode? Is it hard for you to do tank battles? Are you not good at it? Or are you scared to fight people on even terms? Or maybe it simply cost to much money.
AV is actually effective again. AV players switched to tanks because we were very much forced to. We would much rather use our specialized fittings for av. As far as me using av over tanks.. No i have no interest in spending sp on tanks for any reason. I am pretty good with a tank. Despite having 0 sp invested in them during the dark days when my av fittings would tickle and not do enough damage to deter tankers i ran militia tanks. During this time i racked up multiple gunlogi and madruger kills. Lol talking about even terms against av player. How is it even? You hit most suits on the field 1 time with that blaster and they are nearly dead. I hit you once with my forge gun and you still have armor to spare. Money.. LOL really you think tanks are expensive these days.. LOL you are funny kid lol. O this is too much lol talking about tanks and money these days lol.. O my god i might die from laughter on this point as though tanks are expensive... O ya dont want that 200k isk or 500k isk tank to break my budget lol.
Pfff sound like you were a Fairweather tanker...... sure okay I probably have never seen you tank but its not/ was never hard to tank post 1.6..... any jerkoff could pick up a Sica an go to town on any other tanker coupling an MLT Railgun with a Damage Mod.

Simpler just to switch to a fitting with a different gun than to invest so many resources into a whole new frame type that you need to risk calling in.
In other words: if you don't plan on using an HAV for anything else, there's no reason to.

Especially the part where even i point out that i have 0 sp invested in tanks and another part where i explain that i have no interest in spending sp on tanks. So yea i dont give a dam about tanking and only use tanks when its needed. |

AV is very easy to use. Tanks do not have the ability to defend themselves in open regions. A single Forge AV fit can be as cheap as 5,000 ISK. Blip blip blip. I die 4 times taking out one tank (100,000 isk minimalist) and I've still walked away with a massive income spree.
Tanks cannot defend themselves because teams that have NO AV WHATSOEVER complain that tanks are overpowered, hence their guns were balanced downward around that. If you use blasters vs infantry, you must use Proto guns, which cost about 120,000 isk each, on top of the base unit. If your team has 2 AV users that coordinate, you can take out almost all of the vehicles on the map in a minimal amount of time. Tanks are easy to spot, and easier to track. People still complain that they get surprised by tanks that are audible from over 150m out, and are visible at all times from the Orbital map.
Why use a tank, when you know they will be gone in about 2 minutes if you keep it out? NEVER seen a tank last longer than that around the edge of a battlefield unless it can hide in the redline since the new gun "update", not to mention, if they run up the center of a battle, BOOM remote central.
The only time you can actually run a tank, is if you can get it into the enemy line before the AV fits come out. Pop a few guys down, then recall the vehicle.
Unlike dropsuits, EVERYONE pays attention to the tanks on the field, and hence they pay more attention to them when they do see one. If they see an overused dropsuit, nobody cares or takes notice, because "it's just a suit". It's a pscological trickery fest just because of the size, and not whether it actually DOES anything that most of the complaints arise. Just because they "noticed" one in a couple of games they call it spam. Just because they saw one kill about 10 people, they call it overkill. Yet when there are obvious fits, such as the scouts romping about getting 30+ kills, they ignore them, because they're "suits".

Specced into tanks, fully....before the change. Stayed vehicle, fully....after.
I have 2 mil sp in amarr scout with scr and its honestly more fun, vehicles suck now.
A display of sucking that rivals the highest amount of sucking that a player has displayed in the history of sucking.-JR
