CPM,
In May, during fanfest, ccp deemed it appropriate to shock thousands of dust players by announcing that Legion would be their focus and Dust would essentially be left to die on the vine. I do not mean this as hyperbole because that is exactly the message that many of us understood. It is one of the primary reasons that many people left feeling dissolussioned and betrayed.
After several months I am exploring the forums again and see activity such as the election of a new CPM ( congrats) and content/ mechanic updates to the PS3 product (hot fix Charlie). Of course there is little consistent or transparent feedback from the developers but that is nothing new.
So I have decided to ask here:
Why is there still a CPM for Dust514? And why has ccp decided to update the game? They seemed very clear to their customers that dust was not how they were proceeding with their FPs/RPG plans. So what is the point?
Thank you to anyone who could shed some light on these continuing mixed messages from this development team.

ccp made a cpm election because ccp doesn't know what to do next and wants cpm to come up with all the ideas for them.
also dust 514 on pc will be so much better, now everyone gets to use a mouse |

Yes, we've heard how much better this game will be on PC. I recall that new lead developer, Rouge, touting how great it would be as they pulled the rug out from under several years of plans and promises and several thousand customers. All of that coupled with more promises about how involved with the community and open with their interaction ( especially from rouge himself) they were about to be.
How is all that working out?
But to your point that ccp doesn't seem to know what to do with dust and wants input from the CPM...is that true or just player assumptions due to lack of real ccp feedback?
Thanks for the reply

ccp has been adding stuff to the game that has never been mentioned by players, and look how the game is turning out, that's why there are a lot more CPM, to guide CCP. |

The future of Dust is over. Except for hotfixes, there will be no more content or client updates. This includes player market, PvE and any more assets. No more MCCs, vehicles, weapons or sockets.
All that was promised for Dust is now promised for Legion. Because CCP has better coding knowledge on PC (Incarna and pilot quarters ).
The silence on the Legion forums is now in full swing. Not dev posts for weeks. I think CCP has too many shifting ideas with no leads that have coherent vision, just the usual "wouldn't it be cool if..." That the 3d industry is plagued with.
