I fear no real improvement may happen in future Hotfixes a proper concept of physics in the game is added. Let me explain why I have this kind of opinion.
What I mean by this is the addition of proper recoil and dispersion to the hipfire and aiming sights. Dispersion has the potential of making a weapon more inaccurate, yet allowing a person to have some compensation for their possible inability to keep a stable relationship of fire upon a desired target. Precision, while making a weapon accurate, has the potential to make the error of a player's aiming ability to stand out more, which causes the player to need more effort in keeping line of site on a mobile target. A good way to find out if this information is true is to have have a friend attempt to move in the direction you move as you move back and forth every second, and after this attempt to shoot their head with a submachine gun(As they have high dispersion) and then a bolt pistol( Very high precision) and or read it from these links. http://dust514.wikia.com/wiki/Submachine_Guns (See Overview) http://wiki.dust514.info/index.php?title=Bolt_Pistol (See Aiming Mechanism and Optimal)
While a proper amount of recoil can make a weapon very effective recoil can balance out it's strengths by requiring the weapon user to have a discipline of using the trigger. Making the weapon own a recoil increase in a short amount of time has a multitude of effects it could do. If one must shoot in shorter, but not very short periods of time to manage the recoil may have the disadvantage of immediately killing a target coupled with the dispersion,( A good thing here as I have found the luxury of disengaging very slim regardless of being in the open or in cluttered areas coupled with the dispersion.) and yet may learn to be more reserving of their munitions alongside removing any excess effectiveness a weapon may have.(Another thing to make this more viable is to make sure the weapons quickly return to their normal position right after the climax of the recoil ends with the user ceasing fire.)
The next addition of physics is to have players lose momentum as they change direction when strafing as people do realistically (This was an idea from another user, but the first idea would make it more viable)
Next are some ideas to consider, but only for considering.
Giving respective statistics to different gun variants
Assault having the least range and most dispersion compared to other weapons. Breach having the most effective range and most recoil of other variants Tactical being the most precise and having the most recoil. Burst variants being the most precise and having the most recoil and or heat build up (Any other changes I cannot think of but may be thought of from other people)
Think about it.

anti-gravity, etc. the whole idea is we can press a button and *poof* there goes the laws of physics
I know. My lord the Past has told me about the horrible mistreatment of physics in the future. To think one could become such a heathen to as Mistreat our messiah Physics..... Everyone knows Physics deserves TWO buttons! One button is disrespectful! But yeah seriously. If realism was thrown into games in the right places it may make them better. Just think about it.
