At the moment there is nothing good about this "assault" variant of a swarm launcher except that you spend more ISK onto it which makes you look like a idiot. You can lock onto 2 targets at once but the swarms only go after 1 vehicle and you only fire 1 volley at a time which makes this feature useless. In my opinion it should have 50% increased lock on range. So instead of 175m lock on range it then has 262M. As with all assault variants it allready requires more PG,CPU and ISK similar like forgeguns.
They say when you die you see a white light which then forms the line of:
"GAME OVER! PLEASE INSERT COIN"

Assault variants fire faster, have SHORTER range, and deal much less damage...but usually over a larger area (i.e. bigger blast radius for mass driver) along with more ammo in the clip.
Because of that, the Assault variant should fire more missiles at a lower amount of damage, or have faster lock-on and firing times with more ammo per reload. This would result in a slightly higher DPS, but the lock-on range would then be reduced to balance it out.
I would love the assault swarm launcher to be designed for CQC, or possibly even a breach variant for longer range higher damage swarms with a much longer lock-on time.

Assault variant has the widest reticule, quickest lock time, lowest damage and highest missile velocity: dedicated AA AV
Breach variant has the smallest reticule, longest lock time, highest damage and slowest velocity. Fires one missile only that has limited guidance, but better damage profile against both armoir and shields: dedicated HAV AV.
Numbers decide the balance, of course. But this is what I'm after.

Assault forgeguns fire faster, deal more damage and have the same accuracy like their regular variants and have aswell the same range. So why cant we have a trait on the assault swarm launcher that is actually a improvement and makes it more viable then the piece of grabage we have now?
