Earlier Today There Was A Fight In Between Me And A AV-er. I Had 3000 Armor And 0 Shields. That AV-er Launched A Volley From His Swarm Launcher And Took Down Down My Whole Freaking Armor!!! P.S= The Swarm Launcher Was A Basic Assault One! One other Incident Was When I Had Been Taken Down By A CBR7 Launcher And I Had 2000 Shields And 3000 Armor!! |

Swarm Launchers are an Explosive Weapon, which are extremely effective against Armor, but equally ineffective against Shields.
If you find yourself facing a Swarm Launcher without shielding, it's best to leave the area as quickly as possible until you become experienced enough to fight the Swarmer.
Some advice I have, would be:
- Plan an Escape Route!
Minmatar Commandos are becoming increasingly popular along with the Swarm Launcher, so what looks like a crowd of helpless Infantry can easily turn into a swarm of angry AVers looking for a snack. Even if you think there are no AVers nearby, always assume there are AVers nearby.
- You're Not Invincible.
There are a numerous amount of pilots that I've killed because they've stood there in one spot expecting to withstand my volleys as opposed to taking evasive action.

The killing blow might have been swarms.
If you had been sitting still for any amount of time then you can expect a bunch of REs attached to your rear on your weak point. If swarms then hit that they trigger the REs and do swarm damage.
My AV scout will sneak up behind stationary tanks, chuck a couple of REs on the rear and then throw a flux on the front. As the tank retreats on followup with swarms until dead.
Just like infantry if you aren't mobile at least check your six.

It's impossible for a Swarm to deal over 3000 damage in a single salvo, so you were probably hit with multiple weapons (Swarms, Forge, Plasma Cannon, REs) simultaneously.

If you're gonna make bets like that, I'd stay out of Vegas. Because a Swarm Launcher cannot deal 3000 damage in one salvo. 1000 maybe, vs armour, but not 3000 vs shields.

Swarm Launchers need buffed, if anything. Unless I'm taking out an LAV, I always make sure there's at least 2 people in my squad taking on the same vehicle if we're using swarm launchers (all of us are running advanced). |
