ISK farming?
Why not just play the game. I have over 200 mil all through normal gameplay. Its not that hard. Just play the role. Your a mercenary. Think like one.

Play nice and fair - recycle cans, not DUST Mercenaries! And that is why I have resisted the temptation to use this exploit even when I ran very low on ISK.
Instead I put together a fit that cost less than 7000 ISK which still allowed me to play my role effectively within a match. Not only does this allow me to build up ISK fairly quickly, but it also forces me to play better, so that when I switch to a more expensive fit I am much better than I would be without practicing in the cheap fit.

I agree but if anyone bought any of the merc packs they should have some standard bpo stuff that can be used a little better then starter fits. Also add the militia bpo mods and you got a few decent free suits that can do good in pub matches |

Play nice and fair - recycle cans, not DUST Mercenaries! Then why don't you instead of wasting time on tracking things: 1. Remove 250k ISK from starter characters, 2. Lower prices of all low grade skill books, so that new player will simply do not need that kind of cash at the beginning. All skill-book that are first in tree line cost 40k ISK, except corporation with is half of it - I would lower their price by 10x or even reward players that fight on Academy with free skill-books in form of salvage. 3. Give more Militia items to new players, so they have more variation in they first fittings, and they will not have to spend ISK on it. 4. Create 'lock' mechanics on transferring ISK between corporation and players, until player reach 100k WP.

I keep track of some parts of the Forum, because even though it is not in my job description, I think it is important to have more CCP activity here. I try to post tips and helpful info on how to handle different issues, and try to reply to player questions here as well, after I'm done answering support tickets. I poked the right people to look at this thread too, so your suggestions should be seen and considered, but I can mention them at our next meeting as well.
Also, why the hate, sailor? I'm just here to help.

Cheap AV is a great way to earn a lot of ISK, or - God forbid - teamwork. Try to find some players who you can squad up with on a regular base, choose and rotate roles like AV/logi/assault. Stick to low-cost items that still receive a Skill-bonus. Steal ISK from rival Corporations. Use comms to coordinate attacking and defending objectives. TONS of ways to earn ISK without abusing game mechanics

I spot-landed here, not planning to dare post anything in a thread that I THOUGHT would be populated with some of those crafty, hack-pirate, AFKers that are the curse and scourge of every console gamers'gamer's life (those DEVILS, those CREATURES, those CRIMINALS!!).....
But instead, the Dust "farmers" aren't very clever at all, I gusess... What the smart few posts in this thread are advising is correct: It's easier to earn more ISK--per time and effort expended-- JUST PICKING AN AFFORDABLE SUIT AND PLAYING THE GAME normally, than it is to go through ALL THAT GOOFY BUILDING AND UNBUILDING (the 24 hour lag to confirm you want to terminate your alt -OR- the boredom of having to give the PS3 buttons an epileptic twitch every 4 minutes while you're squatting in an MCC -OR- the Corporation grifter fleecing scam -OR- ...LOL!!!).
In one evening's session of Skirmish matches (arguably the stingiest of all the match types, when it comes to the default payout, but I could be wrong), 360,000 ISK is given to you (GIVEN!) every hour just for knowing how to breath in a dropsuit and walk around studying how turret installations truly work, or swapping weapon types at the supply depot so you can see how EVERY weapon in Dust looks like through the aiming sight. EVEN THAT is more fun, less dropsuit loss, less time chatting up a corp, less chasing your tail in an MCC, less logging onto and (yawn) typing out wallet transfers and terminating alt characters every 24 hours,... and at least you'd STILL LEARN SOMETHING NEW ABOUT YOUR WEAPONS in the process.
You're cracking me up with this thread, and it's a nice way to end my day here at my part of the world. At least you changed my perspective on AFKers. You're not villains at all. You're just silly ole' softies.
Universe of good wishes for the 49, especially CCP Eterne...

Hellz yeah, for sure -- BPOs are great. I got a 'Sever' logi suit that costs 600 ISK, and a 'Dragonfly' that costs about 7000 ISK, (mostly cause of the complex damp, though). BPOs are a great way to make ISK, but the new players don't have access to those anymore, unfortunately, so that's why I recommended mil fits. Standard is better for suits in a lot of circumstances (like heavy for instance) due to eHP differences between the same Standard/Militia suit.
And: bring back BPOs, CCP!

'BOLLOCKS TO SERIOUS BUSINESS'
G'day Mercs.
Long time no post, I have been avoiding the filth.
Here is some food for thought. #popcorn
Ever since my local host/server node what ever it's called, being in Australia, OCEANIC is no longer aviable. Everyone in th DUST universe knew it was being used as a holy grail of AFK isk farming.
Regardless of CCP Archduke comment re: we frown upon this... Just to let you know, they CCP, have never attempted to rectify this over the last year, kinda on par with lolPC locking. Further more feel free to kilboost as nothing has ever resulted in action being taken, heck a now junked CPM candidate was under investigation durning the CPM campaign.
Now OCEANIC is closed.
Now my automatic setting sends me to Tokyo / Beiching every single match, and guess what, squads yes squads of AFK isk farming is on my automatic, which is by no means local.
My thoughts? Thanks CCP, you've done it again.

for the NPE i think bringing the standard preset options for new players to choose from which gave a bunch of starter skills was the best option. that way it removes the need for isk, gives newberries a good start as they already have their racial rifle to lv1 and medium or light frame lv1 and then they have to play matches for the rest of the isk. starter skills could include Assault, Sniper, Logi and Scout and av
assault - Med frame lv1, racial rifle lv1 and grenade lv1. logi - med frame lv1, racial sidearm lv1, racial equipment lv1 sniper - med frame lv1, sniper rifle lv1, sidearm lv1 scout - racial light frame lv1, racial rifle lv1/shotgun lv1 AV - medium frame lv1, grenades lv1, swarms lv1
it may not sound much SP but you'd be amazed how long it can take to unlock those skills as a new player, also for the first 14 or 30days give newplayers double passive and active sp gain, not boosters, just built into the game for anyone younger than 15/31 days ect liek they do new EVE players

i have a lv1 minmatar logi (lv3 skill) lv4 drop uplink, lv4 rep tool and lv4 nanohives.
1st suit R9, N11 and P13 uplinks and a militia green bottle. 2nd suit X3, K2 and the other advanced hive 3rd suit DB-9 triage repper, injector, ammo hive
go into ambush and use uplink suit. spread them around map in good pllaces, place some away from the action in case team gets overwhelmed and you can fall back. suicide.
if team is holed up in a building change to hive suit and drop ammo and rep hive for team mates. suicide
change to logi fit (skip step 2 if its an open map) and follow a heavy or good assault guy. i get about 1000-2000 in a good ambush map and around 200-400k isk the suits are dirt cheap but do the job well enough.

Lol at all of this (though 2 people were close), even the red tag.
You can have 16 Playstation accounts on a PS3 at one time.
Make 16 accounts
1 (or twice everyday if you enjoy the torture) every day, make 3 toons on 15 accounts, 2 on your main account. Send ISK to designated toon (I had 1 toon on a farm account that I would send all my ISK to, then send all the ISK from that toon to my main in 1 chunk. Was an attempt to stay stealthy, not sure how effective it really was stealth wise).
Biomass toons as you send the ISK
Repeat the next day
Around 11.5 mil ISK profit per day, around an hour and a half of work.
Back when I was doing it, I had raged out on the forums and told CCP and everyone exactly what I was doing. I did not get banned, and this was before FF14. CCP needs all the players it can get here.

The people that abuse that run multiple accounts, because they are free of course. So they actually can cycle and make millions of isk in an hour or two. But this is also why that's a bannable offense, it breaks the economy pretty hard core. It also leaves a pretty obvious paper trail (Since CCP would see all the isk transfers to your main) if you haven't been banned for this you likely will be. So don't do this is what I guess I'm saying. I just wanted to explain why it wasn't "just farting out concepts" it is the fastest way to make money if you don't own half of PC. It used to be worse where they started with 500k isk per character. |

Considering CCP would see the activity from every characters isk transfers, not even remotely stealthy. You probably just got away with it for the same reason many did and this game has so many flaws. It has a skeleton crew and has probably since CCP Rouge stepped in and told everyone he was going to fix dust lol... although they may have stripped it down sooner, this is all speculation. |
