Hi Minmates! How are you?
I promised (to myself) that I would had come to Dust for Hotfix Charlie to try my suits (minassault and minscout) after their changes...
Unfortunately I wont be able to play Dust since September so I have to ask you, my Minmates and brave Novaknifers, to Tell me how things are going.
So a couple of question, if you dont mind:
How is the minassault? How do you Fit it? Is it possible to Fit 1 or 2 dmg modifiers and/or 1 or 2 kincats and still have a decent fitting? Or would you brick tank it?
How is the minscout? How do you Fit it? I have seen Ghost Kaisar's Fit (Thank you Ghost for sharing it) and it looks pretty solid! Do someone use a different Fit? How hard is Now to be invisible (against passive scanner).
What about Nova Knives? Does the aim assist make them easier to use? And The extra range?
Now the most important questiin: are minscouts (with knives) and Minassaults a competitive choice for PC or are we still underpowered? What do you think?

In short:
For the time being I'm brick tanking but not happy with it. When the damage modders calm down a bit and adjust I'm hopeing I can switch back to a more speed balanced fit.
Nova Knives feel just about right for once (my opinion) It doesn't autoaim as much as I feared. More like removes the margin of error to a situation I've worked hard to get the upper hand in. It feels very slick.

The min assault is performing well. You can fit it in almost any style that you want. I've got armor, shield, dual tanked, speed, and eWAR fits.
The min scout seems to be ok but I haven't played much with it. The knives are easier to use though.
The min assault is definitely PC viable.
What happened to the repair tool glow?
Why won't CCP answer?

High Slots 3x Complex Shield Extenders
Low Slots 2x Complex Kinetic Catalizer 1x Complex Reactive Plate
Weapons Ishakone Nova Knives. Toxin SMG.
You need SMG fitting proficiency up to fit the SMG.
No equipment.
Its fairly tanky and has no ewar because you have no cloak. It is a pub fit to train your NK skills if you don't have the space for the SMG you train even harder. Dropped consistent 20+ games in each game mode I played.
If I decide to play more I will create a few PC fits. |

Just a suggestion.
Use Enhanced Shield Extenders. I know you took some time off so I'm not sure if you noticed they buffed enhanced shields to the point I don't think the fitting requirements of the 16 additional HP are worth it.

I'm loving it. Running all my Min Suits a bunch ( I have every Minmatar suit to ADV at least)
Haven't PC tested them yet. Outlook looks good.

I've been working with the min scout again, I've yet to look into the Precision/Profile balance between scouts, so I'm not certain of the PC viability. If the Min scout can properly dampen without sacrificing all of its lows, then I could see the knifing minja becoming PC viable.
My experimental Pub fit:

The Min assault with double SMG and sidearm damage mods is a beast 
The new ewar makes the minjas viable in PC, you can't imagine how it's good to not have your entire game screwed by a Caldari **** in a squad of sentinels.
NK nearly didn't change, the aim adhesion doesn't make any difference, the faster swing is sometimes useful but the impact is really small, the extra range, idk because I keep going within 2 meters. However they improved the hit detection and that makes a difference.
I haven't tried that fit in PC yet, but in skirmish against corp players my Min scout with 1 codebreaker (more is awesome, but takes essential low slots used for dampeners or kincats) did a great job, I was getting on a point super quickly, hacking it before my enemies realized I was there and prepared some ambushes to not let them counter-hack it (btw you counter-hack so freaking fast) |

You can also win a lot of 1v1's with them, unlike before where you had to switch to your rifle.
I usually play with auto aim off, but if you turn it on, you can easily beat every shotgunner in 1v1's if you're good enough. In fact, out of the 12 1v1's Ive had since charlie deployed, I've only lost one, though Ive yet to get a knife fight.
Its a good time to be a min scout because no body has the precision (amarr) scout yet, so you can usually get away without triple damps, which is a huge boon, as you will need >10 m/s sprint speed to put up 30+ kill games with them.
Overall, for the next week and a half, the min scout is up to par with all the others, simply because the knife bonus is actually usable.
Also, Im running knife over shotgun almost exclusively now, which really says something about how well they are working on a min scout.
"Minmitar Scout" and "Masochist" are synonyms.

Has someone tried the minassault with 2 dmg modifiers? I think the cr would be deadly!! It is definitely a Fit I d Like to try!

My Min Scout runs 2x Sidearm damage mods.
I assume the Min Assault with 2x Damage mods would be equally deadly.

Oh yes i tried it with two complex dmg and holy **** its like butter. Just one would be fine if you want that extra sheild.

I usually keep the Damage Modifiers on my Commando, but I'll see how it works out on my MinAssault.
If it's anything like the MinCom, it'll be melting people like butter.
