You give another low slot to the Amarr......... Amarr I cant even say it properly. What in the hell were you guys thinking on this one. Now my caldari heavy is useless. So people that specked into this class have no use for it anymore. What in the hell are you guys doing over there. Not thinking obviously.

MY LORD. Because Eve didn't really support this game but still wants to come around and **** on how our suits don't match their ships. Ya cool thanks, now **** off... Our ground warfare is nothing like your naval warfare. Thats what i never understood, this games been pretty balanced several times since its been out, but then ccp comes in and is all like oh no its not matching our other game about spaceships. Lets derp this game up by putting looore. This is an fps game not a spaceship game damnit.
Honestly, I'm happier that their making the suits match the ships, at least then I know what I'm up against.

It keeps causing problems, you want this game to play like Eve then let us impact Eve, otherwise screw off back to Eve with breaking our game for your convenience every patch/fix.
Get of your fecking high horse.
I play a LOT more dust than EVE these days, and trust me, I'd love to blast the crap out of a Titan from the ground, but that just isnt in the cards for Dust anymore.
WE ARE BETA TESTING LEGION. Get that through your head. The changes and balances they're doing here are for Legion. STOP.
If it means that the Amarr dropsuits actually match the military doctrine set forth in the lore of EVE, then that's a good thing. I cant for the life of me understand why that wasn't the case in the first place, but it wasn't.

Because CCP doesn't want you to be ABLE to fit full proto on a suit. You're supposed to have to make a sacrifice somewhere. THAT's why they made the change.
I have a nearly proto fit gal logi, but one of those lows had to be fitted with a CPU module to make it work. I had to make the conscious decision to sacrifice someplace to make the fit I wanted work. I'd much prefer to just be able to slap another complex repper there, but I cant, BY DESIGN.

>Managed to miss the point again that a fps lobby shooter doesn't function like a tps space rpg simulator. Check out Cult of the Wind, its a new game that's intentionally goofy that adapts dogfighting mechanics to tps ground mechanics. You can't just copy over styles and expect them to gel, case and point Caldari suit layouts + rail weapons or Gallente suit layouts + plasma weapons. This isn't a spaceship mmo. It has nothing to do with Legion, unless Legion is going to be a game where we all fly around in space in our suits shooting at each other (IE. a pallette swap of Eve spaceships to Eve dropsuits.) I'll say it one last time then you're on your own Eve =/= Dust.
I'm very aware Dust and Eve are separate games. Are you to dense to see what CCPs trying to do though? You're posts would indicate you are.
Why would a race, country, faction, planet.... that's spent years perfecting they're style of combat in space just abandon that work and start from scratch in a ground war? They wouldn't. Their doctrine would cross combat styles. That's all CCP is trying to do, make the ground war doctrine mesh with the space war doctrine. Caldari - long range and shields, gallente short range, repps. Mini - fast and nimble and stealthy, amarr- stand your ground and DPS (and gold). These aren't things that are unique to FPSs or RPGs.
Yes, you can expect those "styles' to copy over, it just has to be done right. Which was the problem, 1.1-1.8 didn't have that parity (except maybe gallente) and now that CCPs trying to fix it, you're getting butthurt over it because your favorite suit isn't the OP killing machine it once was.
Guess what, they've done the same thing to EVE players for years. Ships get nerfed, they add drone bandwidth (WTF? yes still) Ships get added that kill entire playstyles, it's their universe, we just play in it.

Oddly, this is the reason the devs cited as well. Go figure. They want fitting to be about choices. Will you sacrifice your tank for a better sidearm? Will you go for good protection and crappy backup/nades? Will you cook up some off-the wall fit that requires you to downgrade everything but your main weapon? Choices encompass more than just "Do i fit plates or KinCats at proto today? Hmmmmmmm."
I know right? I hate when the developers lay out their plan for everyone to see and the follow it.
