Since the drop suit respect I have gone all minmatar and love their lore and play style but I don't know if the min assault will cut it.... I love the min scout and everyone said it sucked so maybe I will like the assault too....
I like the fast moving, hard hitting, assassin role and have been using the min scout as my light assault since the assaults sucked so bad...... But I have hope Charlie will let me get back into the assault suits
Any min scout lovers try the assault?

I have but not in charlie yet...I like the CR cause you can strafe while using it, unlike SG and NK

I've been out there in my Mk.0 Assault ;)
To OP:
Its not bad. The progression from adv to proto is much more apparent and much more in the style of a Minmatar suit. Right now with all the scramblers and damage mod users I'm kinda forced to tank it quite a lot but its surprisingly durable in a firefight and fast when fitted for speed.

minmatar assault is now an absolute BEAST!
why? becuase its now metagame proof.
shield tanking is dead? fine ill just armor tank this ***** and have a little more shields then a true armor tanker.
armor dead? fine ill shield tank and have more armror buffer then the shield tankers.
or just brick tank it and have an even ratio of shileds to armor and releave most native weapon weaknesses (aka scramblers wont kill you outright :P and combat rifles have to eat through half yoru HP before they get bonus damage :P)
plus if you know how to fit it and are used to being really light on HP having used minmatar assault before then the new build alows you to do so much more while STILL being either just as beefy as it was or even more beefy.
in short minmatar assault gets the trophy for "most improved" and its now better then caldari assault... my basic minni assault took out some poor caldari proto assault earlyer today without breaking a sweat

Ate a couple earlier while I was putting the burst HMG through the ringer. Was quite tasty.

Anyone who tells you it's a bad suit is either trolling, or a blueberry.
You might want to place some Armor on it to deal with the Damage Modifier spam, but otherwise you can fit it however you want.

You have never used a damage modded mass driver have you? If you had, you would never have made such a ridiculous post.
Literally every post you have made is based on whiteroom theorycrafting and raw math, not implementation.
The mass driver does ALPHA damage in a wide area. Amarr cannot jerk-strafe and dodge an explosion. You can jerk strafe and dodge their scramblers. Explosive weapons (Mass drivers) do 20% BONUS vs. armor. so add your damage mods +20% damage for explosion vs. armor.
Mass driver wins. |

Min assault is still and has always been one of the best suits in the right hands. Went 16/1 in my first game no prob. Too bad I had to go to work.
Really excited to try an armor tank fit tonight.
