Complex shield extenders (66HP) should grant a bigger HP boost then basic armor plates (85HP). I would like to see that the complex shield extenders give 90HP shields. That would justify the higher PG+CPU for the module.

And a reduction to your shield repair rates so that a basic shield recharger doesn't surpass a complex armor repairer. Hey don't look at me this is your logic

As a full Caldari player I find this rediculous. There may be a slight increase on HP for the complex extenders but this is way too much

I'm good with 66 HP from complex shield extenders. More options for shield tanking, particularly for sentinels, would be nice though.

Shield tanking early on was great before they fixed how Shield Recharge Delay was calculated (on last hit vs. on first hit). While the fix was good in terms of bug squashing it fundamentally changed shield tanking by causing a drastic increase in real shield recharge delay. This 'fix' should probably be balanced out. Honestly... I think all shield tanking needs is a slight reduction to recharge delay. We could probably get rid of shield depleted delay since that value isn't actually used anywhere except when you're hit by a flux grenade and then not damaged for x seconds.

A reduction of base shield recharge delay on caldari and minmatar suits by about 20% or so could be a pretty solid first step in balancing shields vs armor.

If we really want to talk about increasing the hp granted by shield extenders, I think it should roll more into a racial bonus, as discussed many times already. Giving Caldari a +hp on extenders and minmatar a bonus to rechargers/energizers would reinforce their racial tanking styles without further encouraging dual tanking.

These values should be evident in the suit racial profiles...... unfortunately they are not......

flux nades 1200 shield damage for BASIC versions.. that effectivly wipes out our tank in the blink of an eye..
ScR is 800dps raw and like 1000 effective vs shields.
scrambler pistol is fairly powerful too
laser rifle is the hard counter to rail rifles at range..

so i see no harm in buffing shield extender numbers.

Fit energizers/rechargers and regulators. Do not skip either. Use skirmish tactics and avoid brawls AT ALL COSTS.

Avoiving situations where you have to fight an armor suit on their terms means you win.

 When you brawl they win.

This is a feature, not a bug. Tactics, not armor are OP.

How many times do people have to be told that shields cannot have more HP than armour as armour does not repair HP on its own. Shields recharge on their own so can't give an equivalent amount of HP.

Shield tanking has the advantage of not reducing your walk/sprint speeds as well as repair that doesn't involve an additional module. You are half right though; shield extenders need to provide more HP.
