How would you fix the cross platform multiplayer? Those two, are way too different platforms, and without any kind of aim assist, mouse is much more precise than ds3. Just one of the insane amount of balance issues that will come up.
How would you fix them all?
TL;DR
If Legion is being developed for PC, there's no way it can be ported on PS4.

Who said it had to have cross platform multiplayer?
Most multiplatform FPS games don't have it, why should Legion?
That being said, there are other reasons it probably won't come to PS4.

Given enough effort, Dust could run on a networked speak n spell. Don't tell me that it can't run on PS4.
I think it's pretty obvious that CCP is steering away from consoles, though.

So, wait. Both of you said it should have two separate servers: one for PC and one for PS4.
But it must be linked to Eve, how would you link three games one another, if two of them must never meet?
What about, null sec districts, if any? What would they do?
District 5 is under "corp. A" control, but it's also under "corp. B" control on PS4?

More has been done... One universe//one war. That's the whole CCP modus operendi. A single shard server is required to integrate with EVE. If there's never any EVE integration than Project Legion would be just a poor mans shooter with mediocre PvE.

If eve is greenlit there won't be a dust connection to eve. PC will have to be shut off. Maybe FW. |

Basically this;
Their strenght is that their FPS is linked to another MMO, and both of them would possibly be influenced each others. If there's no link, there's no way CCP can compete with the FPS market.
Althought it is true, CCP Rouge said there won't be any connection with the Eve universe, at least in the "begginning", there absolutely will be an integration with Eve.

See, you are just assuming there will be a link, even though none has ever been promised.
There was a link promised for Dust when it was announced, and it (the link) hardly even exists. There was no link promised on Legion announcement. I wouldn't hold your hopes too high...
Sure, it is logical for there to be a link, but we don't have logical devs, do we? |

Shadowrun had cross platform between Xbox and PC. But that's cause of windows.
sony would have to make software to multi platform across windows, which is owned by their direct competitor for hardware/software. Not sure if sony could just do it without support?

Afaik, there's no technical issue: FFXIV:ARR is totally connected between ps3, ps4 (soon) and PC. But it's not an FPS!
It is relatively easy to balance on an MMORPG between console and PCs, but what about FPS? There's no way a competitive FPS console gamer accept to challenge a competitive FPS PC gamer!

I don't know, I can't tell you any personal experience because I don't have a PS4 yet.
But between an aim-assisted Dust 514 and planetside 2 on PC, it's much much easier for me to stay on target on PC...and I'm absolutely not to be considered a PC-gamer!

PS4 and XB1 are cheap PCs. There would be no difference in performance other than the different services that you would need to log into to play on the PS4 and XB1. Just for record, PS4 AND XB1 ARE CHEAP PCS WITH A DIFFERENT OS THAN WINDOWS. That is why Sony and Microsoft went with x86 architecture.
EDIT: Actually, XB1 runs a bastardized version of windows 8..... so yeah, you "console" players are actually playing a "cheap gaming PC". So just STFU about console vs PC. |

I'm not even sure if it has deadspots. Its comfy as all get out. Triggers are smoooooth. Squeaky at first, but they get quiet as a worm fart after breaking them in. The sticks have FAR more directional control, and a much more comfortable gradient of speeds.
Overall, I'd say the DS4 is the single best controller ever released with a console. With a miniscule amount of aim assist, I'd say that it could be competitive with MKB on PC. |

The offset thumbsticks of the Xbox are still greater than the DS4. DS4 was so close to offset thumbsticks too and they decided against it at the end because of brand separation between xbox and playstation. Unfortunate, because the DS4 does feel like a better built controller than the XB1 controller. XB1 controller just feels.... cheap. |

Also, the preference of offset sticks is just that, a preference, as there is not hard evidence that it is superior. I personally prefer the symmetry and am glad that Sony opted for it. |

If Legion is being developed for PC, there's no way it can be ported on PS4.
There's a whole Drake's equation of diminishing probabilities to get through before you get to the chance of Legion reaching PS4.
That realisation was the final nail in the coffin for my merc.
Anyone clinging to that hope needs to cut their losses and accept it.
Destiny won't kill Dust.
CCP already did that.
