I think that the sensitivity needs fixed, if you look at other FPS games the sensitivity can be adjusted to the point where you can track the enemy at close and long distances and be able to turn around quickly. In Dust the sensitivity is so low that it forces people to hip fire in order to track the enemy well enough to shoot him in close engagements.
I currently have my sensitivity set to 100 in both hip fire and ADS and I still find it difficult to track the enemy. In order to fix this 1/100 of the sensitivity bar should be the same as about 5-6 of the current bar, therefor increasing the maximum speed of aiming allowed.
Thank you for your consideration in advance! |

Yea I've used the scout suits, it makes sense that the fatter you are the slower you can turn, but it's hard to shoot the enemy while they're moving even as a scout, in my opinion all of the suits should be able to aim faster than they currently do. |

"Your doing it wrong" I run an 1800hp heavy 24/7. Kill 40+ every match! Scouts are the ONLY ones I can't track up close. If you let em get in ur bubble, u deserve to get capped. Ps, I NEVER messed with the sensitivity.
You misunderstand what I'm saying. Look at every other shooter that exists, you have the ability to adjust the sensitivity to the point were you can spin 360 degrees by merely aiming left or right for half a second, I'm saying that we should have the ability to aim as quickly as we want to, as opposed to not being able to track a scout (or any other suit) in a close engagement because the maximum sensitivity is too low. You proved my point right there, as a heavy you cannot turn fast enough to track a scout, you should be able if you so desire to up the sensitivity so that you can turn fast enough.
The sensitivity being so low in my opinion is why the game is hard for people to pick up, any person of any skill level should be able to pick up the game and play, the challenge should come from the skill of the opponent, not from the challenge of the GAME, it's not singleplayer, it's multiplayer. |

CUSE TOWN333 wrote:you are correct sir because Dust aiming mechanics are the worst of any fps i have ever played. in most games you can aim fast while still being able to fine tune slow aim with smaller movements of the stick. in dust its all or nothing being ether real fast aim but not with precision or slow aim. all the patchs and hotfixs over the year and never one full patch to fix the core of a fps game the freaking aiming mechanics are horrific.
Thank you! To me dust has a cap to it almost, you can only turn so fast even with max sensitivity and it's still too slow to keep up with a circling scout or even medium suit. |

Yea, the aim assist is lacking also, at long distances it's very difficult to track a zig-zagging enemy, I currently have my sensitivity set to 65 hip and 75 ADS which I've grown accustomed to but most people have a very hard time getting used to it, as did I. |

Zindorak wrote:Why do you need that much sensitivity. I have mine at 40-60
Because that is my personal preference, It's still too slow even at 100 in my opinion, it's quite difficult to track the enemy up close and even at distances compared to most shooters. I can't quite put my finger on it but it's either that the sensitivity is too slow or the aim assist is lacking, or both but SOMETHING is definitely different about the aiming in Dust compared to other shooters. |
