Said no one ever, I was in a Fw match and a commando somehow snuck up on my Ak.0 (I have lvl5 in all ewar so I'm confused as how this happened) he then preceded to charge it and get in close enough for a head shot which he successfully did I think but he literally only took out 200ehp. Idk know about you but if he worked that hard to charge shot me with an ion pistol he should at least taken 300hp from my health.
P.s. He was then executed on the spot for his foolishness.

What the-?
Ion charged does 350 damage. If he got the headshot, what is that, 1.5x more? Total of 525 damage? Unless the Empress herself took that hit for you, it was either not a headshot and was 350 rather than ~200.
But yeah, the Ion does suck massive balls...I'm hoping for it to be viable come Delta. Slight range increase? Damage buff? Charge shot damage buff? Perhaps finally make it be able to hit something standing in front of you? |

Probably would have been more effective to hit you with the Ion Pistol than to shoot with it.

That commando was being silly. Everyone knows that you have to throw the Ion Pistol at your enemy for it to be effective.

Cat Merc and I had a series of ion pistol duels yesterday.
Over the course of an entire match, we died 4 times put together.

I think Gallente weapons are for the trolllllooollolll; PLC is the ultimate troll toy, and if you get killed by a ion pistol ..well I say no more - I won't start with the Plasma Rifle (ahem breach I meant)

He probably missed the headshot and hit on your armor I think it's charge shot damage is 275 or 375. Reason I don't know is because it ducks so much I die before my brain can process how much damage know did with it.

I played with the ion pistol when it first came out on my scout. Its a bit underpowered, granted, but in the end its all about how you use it. I was doing quite well as a finisher after a shotgun round.

so you used it as a finisher after you warped 92% of health away and then killed someone with a sidearm.
That's not exactly anything to write home to the forums about, pretty sure even the Lolflaylock could do that as well as any sidearm.

I just throw mine on my ass gk.0 to see if the bonus even helped it....but i will say the charge shot does have a "trololol" effect on cheap suits |

With 240HP of Melee Damage, yes it would've been.
