It looks like my assault will be viable again, because lets be honest here. When 1.8 dropped you needed a heavy or a assault to survive. I read alot of negative things on the forums about OP this and that. But my question to you is:
Who else is going to take his assault out again. Not asking people who are going to skill into it. I'm asking the people who had a assault suit but had to skill otherwise to survive the spam.
I would like to know what suit and what possible set up thoughts you guys have on your suit. For me my Ck.0 with rechargers and regulators will be a nice start of the comeback.

I still see plenty of Amarr assaults, and yesterday, I saw a single ck.0 and... wait for it...

I am a proto caldari assault, 600 shields 50 rep rate 1.6s delay or 500 shields and 82 rep rate, probably will use the regen one morw, not sure...

Skilled back into assault ck.0 about a month back, in anticipation of Charlie,and for the 120 proto suits that I forgot to use before skilling calmando for 1.8. Missed it a lot, but still love the versatility of the commando.

I've had an advanced Minmatar Assault for a long time, but only recently went to proto. I love the suit, but... I'm kinda addicted to my Nova Knives, and not having them just feels wrong. Still gonna use it more often though, the slot layout changes will let me really customize my fitting options for just about anything... I wonder what would happen if I put four kincats on it...  Oooooh~
Nova Knives are best sidearm.

I ran mine too, but came to the conclusion that was insta death with the scout and heavy spam. |

If you had to stop running assault in the first place you probably sucked at it. Don't use scout & heavies as an excuse.

I've always run the same main fits. Gal scout/Amarr assault.
The best Damage mod is a HEADSHOT....

The Amarr assault is really the only viable assault suit in its current form compared to the others in its current form. I mean compare the bonus of the assault suits and you'll know enough |

Still ran assaults, even through 1.8. I skilled into heavy because they finally released the Cal version.

Going to run assault once more as well, not because of Charlie its do to the fact running a heavy is getting stale and it is time for a change. Cal Assault with RR/SMG

But theres 1 problem. I cant force myself to uneqiup nova knives :).

Yep, but its not my fault i have great taste.
Gal scout since chromo (when they were the only scouts) and Amarr Assault since Uprising 1.

And it's not my fault CCP screwed my suits over and over. Appearently they did otherwise they didn't buff them. BTW I have all Cal suits pro except the commando.
