Personally I have run combat rifle since 1.7 but have recently been really liking the Scrambler rifle.
I will interrupt the conversation you gentlemen were having to say what most people DONT realize yet its true.
The best OVERALL Rifle, is the Assault Rifle.
The ASsault rifle has good range, does GOOD damage with good rate of fire.
The reason is not being widely used is because:
GÖª The Combat Rifle has More Rate Of Fire
GÖª The Rail Rifle Has More Range ( and damage)
GÖª The Scrambler rifle Has more Damage
So against EVERY OTHER rifle you will have to use wits to win. Because they all do something better than you....
But OVERALL, the AR still stands IMO a the #1 Do it all rifle, with great hipfire, CQ/MED range efficiency, good clip size and good damage.
The best Damage mod is a HEADSHOT....

but
Multiple enemies > SCR
And dont say its the same with every other rifle because the RR drops 4+ enemies at the correct range with a single clip, the AR and CR/aCR can deal with multiple enemies in a row too, unless its a heavy at CQ.
The best Damage mod is a HEADSHOT....

Well after wasting my boss' money while checking stats, ranges , some video feedback...
seems like the Plasma Rifle AKA: Gal Assault Rifle would be the best ALL AROUND rifle , if it wasnt because the Combat Rifles have similar ( and seemingly more) range and the ACR lacks the Dispersion over range that it deserves.
Thanks to the lack of recoil and dispersion over range, the ACR seems to be a superior Rifle than the AR, except in the RARE case of facing a Shield tanker...
So overall, for those who played Battlefield 3, The Assault Combat Rifle is the Famas with more Clip size....
The best Damage mod is a HEADSHOT....
