You have MLT gear to proto. MLT, cheap, slightly less effectiveness, usually the only difference is smaller clip size and slo-mo reload. Proto is more effective, looks cooler, max bonuses. But useless with lots of ISK to run it.
If a team gives up at the slightest pressure (noobs, non proto, uncoordinated) then there noobs who are ruining the game. Proto users, coordinated squads, 'stomp' the game in less then 3 minutes, there scrubs with no skill and have to use proto cause they suck and have no gungame.
Are some things STRAIGHT scrubbery yeah. But weres the line between scrub and noob? It seems the only way to win is to not play.
Just my thoughts.

Noob & Scrub. Mostly used by people who have invisible lagg. Invisible Glitches and Invisible Bugs. Seems the noobs and scrubs use those 2 words the most.

Noob: Someone who makes mistakes and isn't good at the game simply beause they are not used to it, do not have the muscle memory built up yet, or just don't know what the heck they are doing.
Scrub: Someone who is an experienced player who chooses to use certain tactics or items simply because they "work" or because it is the easiest way to win.

Everyone is a scrub to someone, everyone is a blueberry to someone, people use pseudo ethics and morals to try to convince others to not do the things that kill them. Some are blatant and others subtle. If you can fit a light weapon to a fat suit then do it if you want. If you can attach RE to vehicles do it if you want. If you can stack shields/armour on a scout do it if you want. It's a video game and there will always be some that would like to become better by dictating what others can do as opposed to devising their own tactics. If you are looking for the line draw your own and accept it's in the wrong place to everyone else except you.

I don't see the difference. But a noob has an excuse.
I'll admit that a single squad can completely wreck a team when working well together using vehicles and good gear, but I think people use the "proto" thing as an excuse too often. It's just a risk averse community. The stingy ISK faucet is a major culprit.

Scrubs are people who are running "fun" and/or uncompetitive fits, they also queue into matches with out filling the squad up with other competitive players...
Scrubs also bitch and moan about vehicles, a LOT.
Scrubs also complain about what blueberries are doing all while standing still and looking at blueberries instead of playing to win.
Hell everyone who doesn't play the game the way I do and run the fits I run are utter Scrubs or have an other definition of Scrub than I do is a Scrub.

Put this way, PRO is more than mildly more effective than MLT, I run suits generally with 500 eHP or less, yet today I met a PRO caldari with more armour than I had eHP.
Just to put it in perspective, a shield tank suit had more armour than my suit had with shields and armour combined. It's upto you wether I'm the scrub for running MLT gear against a PRO stacked squad or he is, for running PRO against a full team of blueberries.
In that match the highest meta level I saw from my side was a STD suit with ADV modules, and he was a sniper.
They call me the Monkey - I like to jump off sh** and piss RE's all over your tank!

Im posting the general opinion this community uses constantly. I only used the terms to compensate confirm my point. 95% of this community are complainers that dont try. And blame the ISK rich for why there bad. NOW you get it?
