Caldari commando. Fits, recommendations, opinions, thoughts, trolling, etc. Thanks in advance.
Im a big fan of caldari and their rail rifle, its an absolute monster at any sort of range where I intend on staying if I use this suit. I currently run a caldari scout. So, would it be worth it to apec caldari commando for more versatility when it comes to weapons as well as mor damage and hp? I would , of course, continue to use the scout at times.
TL; DR: first 2 lines.

Sit on a catwalk (like the one above Alpha on a Cargo Hub), and shoot people off the point with a Rail Rifle. If any Tanks or Drop ships try to shoot you off, shoot them back with swarms. \o/

RR and Sniper.
That would be my fit. Swarms are secondary thoughts. Forge is better. |

Get rid of the sniper rifle it is horrible and a waste of space. Also you can't fit a forge on a Cal commando, it only has light slots and the Cal commando gets no bonuses to using swarms (the Minmatar gets that) so those are a waste of your time too.
Play to your bonuses, that is how you make a suit amazing.
Go with a RR and an ARR for weapons Complex Damage mods in the high slots, an armor repper in the low, and a compact nano-hive. That gives you huge range, massive killing power, restocking ability and survivability in one neat package.

I put a regulator in the low and use a RR ACR with a compact or better rep hive. Sure there's no damage on the CR from the suit but as a "sidearm" it's pretty decent anyway. I prefer CR if someone (read scout) gets too close. |

I would certainly give the rr/arr combination a try, but I feel like a swarm as a secondary would give me a bit more utility.

Hate being that guy to bump his own thread, but I would like a little more feedback, thank you.

Well the RR or the ARR would be obviously your main weapons. They get the damage bonus, but not because of this you are obligated to use RR tech only. Use the ARR or RR and add a secondary weapon DEPENDING on the need.
RR/ARR + SWARMS = In open maps or with vehicle precense RR/ARR + ACR/AR = For good Close quarters and long range weapons RR/ARR + Sniper Rifle = Preferibly a Tac S.Rifle. Double weapons affected by Commando bonus, Good for open maps like Manus P.
The best Damage mod is a HEADSHOT....

Highs: complex shield recharger enh shield recharger
Lows: 1 complex shield reg
Sb-39 RR BK-42 or Rs-90 for when getting rushed or forced into cqc
compact nanohive
500shield/360? armor ...forget the amount. Cover is your best friend. 2 sec shield delay/ 3 sec depleted delay rep at 40.97 shields.
Basically a sorta camping/assault set-up. Keep enemies off of objectives or slowly advance points covering friendlies as they advance for the cqc fighting or stalling/stoping potential flanks. You will attract a lot of scouts. More for opened maps like the 3 points or the 4 point map surrounded with towers.
I just use a adv fit cause I have come up with a proto fit I see worth using over it... besides the 3 complex myfl. stimulants.. that baby punches at 990 <3 ..Drive-by fist fights..like a heavy with a hmg but more funny
I would use the SL but I am not skilled into them..been debating they seems pretty beastly now though so I might.
I use a DS to hump things......

These are my two main setups. Rail/swarm for the open areas and ARR/AR for CQC. If there are a lot of scouts, also have a shotgun fit to give them a taste of their own medicine. That's the beauty of the commando, always new combos to try.
Embracing my inner scrub since 2013.

I have a Calmando. my advice, get avanced at the minimum. having that low slot is a must. i run it with a rail and a massdriver in most cases for ambush and some doms. Fire 2 mass rounds into a large group to make them run than whip out the RR.
Also RR and swarms are a nice combo aswell.
Remember energizers and rechargers are your friend on that fit. In the low a reactive plate.
