Cody Sietz wrote:I just went Logi, I'm thinking of going CR or MD. i use CR on my minni logi.. but i think MD might be better on amarr logi with the sidearm too (magsec or smg)
but minmatar commando is pretty good as it gets projectile AND explosion dmg bonus so thats both the CR + MD and even equipment slot for hives

I want to try to use Nova Knives but that seem a bit extreme .
Slap some kin cats and stamina with some self reps and might just try that out .
Most of the time I'm being a medic , I get killed either from far away or close up from SG's and HMG's so ... I don't know about those NK's , I just wanted a challenge . try SG logi for a chalenge? :P and yeah i die most of the time to noskill cloaky shotgunning scouts.. heavys arnt that much of a problem though

hmm i have seen the rapid fire RR alot more of late and it had crossed my mind to use a SMG too i mainly use burst CR though cause its ROF is technically higher then the full auto varient when pulling the trigger quickly but i do like the full auto varient as it seems to feel better when i need to defend myself the assault smg just dosnt feel like it has the stopping power.

OP FOTM wrote:You guys need to remember there are no slayer logis anymore. The only reasons a Logi should use a weapon are:
- To defend yourself and your team, especially your uplinks and nanohives
- To apply DPS in case the heavy you're repairing is distracted or flanked
- If you have a long range weapon to shoot people who you've scanned
- To protect the person you've revived, although a repair tool is usually better at it
You should not be full-on attacking the enemy. You don't have the HP or the stats to compete with Scouts and Heavies. Your role is purely a defensive role. You should also be using shield modules instead of damage mods, although a combination of both is also effective. Which is why I shake my head at these people who think "heavies are only supposed to do point defense" because it's like NO, they're supposed to DOMINATE AT CQC. LOGIS ARE THE POINT DEFENSE CLASS. we are not point defense, we are the SUPPORT for the DEFENSE (heavy classes like sent or command).. the point of this thread was just to get ideas for the best all-rounder for self defense with good offense too if you play like that

For some reason with the MD it doesn't want to switch to the rep tool right away. I've had a few instances of shooting friendlies in the face instead of healing them. Sorry about that Pizzle. He ran to me thinking I'd be his savior only to have me crush his hopes with an explosive round to the face! omfg thats funny..

It's funny to think now how people were considered " slayers " with just one main weapon .. well in the case of the Amarr and this was before people used RE's like they do now . by people you mean scouts.. and by use you mean throwing RE like they are grenades and going out of fashion

I'm always getting chopped up by CR's & RR's when I'm not aware , I try to keep a scanner on me but that only goes so far . I'm a Minmatar Logi . idk why but this last week its felt like all my deaths were either shotgunners (effin cloaky scouts) or rail rifles both types at long and short range maybe cause theya re good vs both shield and armor while CR sucks vs shield but is great vs armor
