DUST Search - What is the best Light Weapon/Sentinel Combination?

I'll update the OP, but basically I like to try out everything there is to try in this game.

I've gotten good with almost every weapon, suit, playstyle, role...no matter how underpowered or overpowered. In order to provide feedback on any subject in the game, you need experience with every subject in the game. That is my goal.

I understand the reason why players think using a light weapon on a sentinel is scrub-like, but is it really more scrub-like if I used a Caldari scout instead? I've tried out every "OP" or "Scrub" fitting there is EXCEPT this light weapon sentinel.

By no means am I trying to find a new playstyle (I love my Amarr Commando Mass Driver lol), but I need to know which suit and weapon combination players see as the most "OP" when it comes to using a light weapon on their sentinel.

Or ACR and rail rifle to compliment both weapons (range domination+close quarters spray and pray). But personally i would keep a swarm launcher on the commando suit which basically means you can fight infantry and vehicles equally. New shield module!

The controversy here is that the problem with the 'light weapon sentinel' is that it is arguably a result of a broken aspect of the game's fitting system. CCP decided to make weapon slots cascading; meaning light weapons can fit into the 'Heavy' weapon slots on sentinels. If this is by design (I'm not sure there was much clear-cut design at the outset of this game), then I'm sorry but it is a slightly d1ck move. It encroaches onto the assault suits role and almost invalidates commandos. Personally, I don't believe the 'light weapon sentinel' is a legitimate play style, in the same way the tanked scout is not legitimate. It exists as an artifact, resulting from a contradiction on CCP's part. On the one hand they want players to have 'freedom to fit'. On the other hand they want well-defined roles (and hence play styles) associated with the different suit types. I guess what I'm saying is: even a sandbox has a border around it. I should be forced to use a light weapon even if I want to save fitting space, or if I want a more CQC based weapon? My Heavy has only ever used heavy weapons and sidearms, however, because the Sentinel lacks an equipment slot, a weapon that has minimal ammo use should be best. I'm right along with you with the ScR on an Amarr sent. My fit would be something like this: Sentinel ak.0 Complex Light DMG Mod x2 Complex Armor Rep x2 Complex Plate Viziam ScR Ishukone ASMG Flux Grenades

XD A heavy with a Light weapon is a Gimped Soldier anyways. ... Its a lot worse when they run with an HMG.... dont be sad patrick.
