Another brown nosing CPM. Great like we dont have enough of those already. If they arent making any money off this game you can be damn sure they will shut down the servers. Only reason they wont admit to doing so now is because they still think us vet players will actually still put money into this game. They apparently assume we will just jump right on the Legion band wagon. I for one will not. Its a generic version of dust (with burning trees -_-) and not worth the money i would have to put in just to be able to play the game let alone maintain my constant play. In other words im not spending about $1k on a damn comp for a generic piece of garbage game that will run about as good as the free version does now (which isnt very good) and you are gullible if you think it will be any less glitchy than dust is now.

She's no longer in the CPM just so you know. The players have elected different people now including Judge Rhadamanthus and Kevall Longstride.

CCP has not drafted any plans to shut all of Dust 514 down. Oceana was just an unfortunate victim of the circumstances.

As other posters said its highly dependent on playing populations as well; as long as it remains healthy CCP will keep the lights on.

This year's summit will be in Shanghai so we can meet the devs face to face for once. These types of visits are typically more business than pleasure with very little time for sightseeing and other things.

There may be no Iceland summit as such (and why would there be one with Legion near exclusively developed in Shanghai) but myself and the majority of the CPM 1 are already planning our trips to Iceland for Fanfest out of our own pocket.

This combined with the Shanghai Dev's coming to Fanfest themselves, means that we'll still have a lot of FaceTime with them during the week. But more important than that we'll have the chance to answer your questions directly to those of you that make it as well.

We'll all know a lot more about Legion and the future of Dust 514 by then so we can have a more informed debate.

Until then or we have more concrete information before then, all speculation as to the status of Dusts servers, it's transfer to Legion and the eventual shut down of Dust once that transfer is over is entirely that. Speculation.
