For those of you who liked Street Fighter 2, Tekken, Mortal Combat, Killer Instinct, then prepare yourself for a gripping storyline with excellent fighting mechanics and palpable gameplay.
If you are a fan of DC comics, give this game a whirl.
I bought it because it was on sale in the PSN store: "Super Hero Sale". If you ever thought about trying this game, now is the time. With a playstation plus membership the game is a steal at only 8 bucks!

A corp for lonewolves where squadding and comms are optional, but exceptional team play is expected.

Storyline's not great. Mechanics are okay. I personally found it to be pretty mediocre as a fighting game, but unfortunately DC doesn't have any better fighting game. So if you have to have a DC fighting this would probably be the one. Otherwise it's not really worth getting unless you're a fan of Mortal's Kombat pace and fighting style.

If superman's killing his family and becoming a tyrannical overlord is mediocre, then I'm afraid you've become a victim to spectacle. This is an emotionally entrenched story of a limitless man who's tragic loss pushes him over the edge, resulting in his abuse of power.
I've played a lot of fighting games over the years and there is a lot this game has to offer for the beginner and the expert player.
There are clear, descriptive tutorials covering beginner and advanced techniques.
The in-game, high-detail graphics are superb. Not a stroke of detail has been left out.
Each character has a uniquely personalized script and power-meter overlay.
The characters are bold and alluring and their super power moves are larger than life.
There are multiple costumes per character.
The storyline is on an epic scale: nuclear explosions, murder and tyranny, resulting in an ultimate battle between good and evil.
Myriad play modes and battle types, including hundreds of special assignments in the S.T.A.R. labs.

I am not even a fan of DC comics, but I was impressed by the quality of this game.
