Well at the very least https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1dRIiqkQK4S1_NmisVxjvaBgrEtMcX-D8qz0cR4d_fV4/edit?pli=1#gid=0 Breach Assault Rifle is 7400 and Assault Rifle is 7000 Rail Rifles by their nature are "Breach" weapons with a range of 10000, with the Assault Rail Rifle at 9700. So in those two cases "Breach" versions are longer range than "Assault" versions.

I donGÇÖt think CCP has been consistent on range. I used to like using the Breach SMG, particularly the difference in the sound. With a much slower rate of fire it was very important to insure that every round hit. The Breach SMG seemed to be less of a spray and pray weapon as a result. Hand/Eye coordination cannot be taught. For everything else there is the Learning Coalition.
