CCP Frame wrote: Dear Players, Due to some players from other battleservers using Oceania battleservers as a venue for farming battles thanks to the lower population there, we will be shutting them down during downtime on Monday, 28th of July 2014. Any players in the Oceania region will be directed to either the Asia battleservers or the US battleservers, depending on their individual ISP routing. Oceania players should expect a slight increase in latency when playing on either of these battleservers, yet hopefully more and varied opponents will balance that out in the overall gameplay experience. Thank you for your understanding, -DUST 514 Development Team Yeah, I am calling a big, fat SHENANIGANS on this post!! Being a US player that has only been around for ~55 days, after I read this post yesterday (07/26) at ~17:00 EVE time, I decided to check out Oceania to see what it was all about before it disappeared. I was thinking that if it really was as desolated as people said it was, then maybe I could use that to my advantage and stroll around the maps learning any intricacies for later play. I logged into Dust and set my server option to Oceania at ~04:00 EVE time and played until 07:00 EVE time on the 27th. This works out to be 23:00 on 07/26 to 02:00 on 07/27 CST (my time zone). I went to bed afterwards and got back up and logged into Dust 5 1/2 hours later. At ~12:30 EVE time, which is 07:30 my time and past the 11:00 to 11:30 daily downtime, I was going to move my server option back to automatic when I noticed that Oceania is no longer listed as an option! What?!?!?! It's NOT the 28th yet!!! Just look when I posted this! Please explain or else I'll continue to yell... SHENANIGANS, I tells you!!! SHENANIGANS!!! SHENANIGANS!!! Krunchie = Dust 514 Neophyte and Dilettante Krunched = Freshly stomped Dust 514 Neophyte and Dilettante Look it up!

Before you go off on stupid rants and raves, try thinking things through before you speak.

All I was saying is that the date was apparently brought forward. That was the shenanigans to which I was referring. That's it. I'm not pro-protostomping nor pro-afking. Just a simple observation that was attempted to be put in a humorous light. Just an FYI, Oceania dissapeared MANY MANY times over the past year and a half. It is well known as the bermuda Triangle. As for them taking it perma-offline, maybe other servers can have more lag? Yay!!!!

Everything) If CCP admitted Dust was dead and they were shutting it down completely i'd come back fully expecting CCP to rededicate every resource it has to the continued development of Dust.
