Im going to hazard a guess and say, like in EvE, Legion is going to give the players missions via pages of text (not voiced). If I'm right, it would be nice for some talented (see sig) people to create them for you!
- Missions can compile of multiple stages, "Making Mountains of Molehills (1 of 10)". - PvE based, so involves drones and/or npc pirates (if their in Legion). - Can have unique salvage that needs to be handed in for completion. - Like in EvE, because the missions are text based, it can auto-fill in your name and local. Please write, "[Your Name]".
This could be really fun, write away and I'll link your post in the OP.
Of course a blue tag would not go amiss.

NPE Mission- (When the player has picked their race and all. I'll say if they picked Minmatar, well because i'm biased
*The background is a tropical forest, green leaves and shining trees. Text pops out: "Welcome 501st Headstrong. I am Zanecki, leader of the underground resistance against Guritas Pirates. We need you now to destroy some of their scanner drones before they can find us. Will you help us?"
Yes( Player goes on the mission)
*Who are the Guritas? (Gives a little bit of Lore Background. CCP needs to include Lore because not all of us can find time to read up on the New Eden history that has ten years in it. Little info bits appreciated )*
Player picks Yes as I know nothing about the Guritas
Fade to black, and the Legion HUD comes online with a small boot-up. The landscape is a golden tan as the sun beams in the sky, and there are trees all around on the horizon and sides. It's a savannah.
The text comes up: "Alright warrior, we will teach you how to fight. Press W to move forward, A to move left, D to move R, and S to move backwards.
The player moves, and then another pop up: "Very good! Now press A and D rapidly to strafe. This will be very useful when it comes to dodging incoming fire."
The player moves, and your HUD flashes. "Amazing. You're a natural. The enemy drones will show up on your mini-map in the upper corner. Hunt them down and destroy them."
You bring out your militia combat rifle in your hands, and you're off.

Lets take a page out of recent successful games.
You play as a disgruntled slightly depressed man voiced by Troy Baker as you travel with a spunky young female sidekick in tow, occasionally shooting people.
The struggle is real.

PvE missions in EVE can get really dry. It'd be great if CCP took player devised ones into consideration.

Setting: Barren Settlement/ Abandoned Cargo Hub Low Sec
Enemies: Rogue Drones, Regional Pirates
Objectives: Depending on Mission Variations or Part of Mission Sequence
Personally I like atmospheric settings so perhaps they skybox could be of a storm front while the planet is barren and lifeless.
- Scout the Surrounding Area for cause of Loss of Contact, find out why the Corporate Installation went dark. - Enemy Spawns over whelming Numbers and Units within a 1-2km Radius which slowly approach player position. - Hack a Communications Array and await further instructions
- Engage Threats - Enemy Spawns in Clusters around the map, to force the Hive to send linked drones you must get its attention. - Sweep and Clear with certains mobs triggering fresh spawns
- Secure a Drone - A Neutral Drone Spawns on the map with clusters around it, you must ensure you find the Hives location. - Hack the Drone and escort it back to Evac point
-Find and Eliminate the Hive/ Hives - Signals are leading you to the Hive, break through the enraged surrounding drones and push through to the Hive - Mobs spawn around Hive Site, Heavy Drones Spawn directly around the Hive - Linked Synthetic Intelligence Super Heavy Drone Spawns once Heavy Drones are eliminated.
Rewards- Materials Used in the construction of Drones (Attack Drones, District Protection Drones, Mining Drones and or R&D materials) ISK, and LP.
Blood Hunt
Client: Theology Council Offices
Setting: Abandoned Orbital Satellite
Enemies: Regional Pirates (Blood Raiders)
Objectives: Secure any valuable cargo/ Eliminate the Blood Raider presence
- Find the Heretics and cleanse them from existence - Spawns in the Cargo bay of the Satellite - Players explore the dark atmospheric corridors and attempt to locate the Blood Raiders - Kill the Blood Raiders
Rewards: ISK, LP, and Pirate Faction or Dead Space Loot.
Grey Market
Client: Mordu's Legion
Setting: Demilitarised Zone Caldari Prime
Enemies: Gurista's Pirates
Objectives: Locate and Destroy the Gurista's Convoy as it makes the deal with Smugglers
- Central Armoured Gurista's Convoy is on the move carrying Stolen Caldari Weapons, intercept the Convoy. - Spawns players on an open map, players must locate and engage the convoy of MAV and HAV - Objectives can be destroyed to complete the mission or disabled and captured resulting in more loot.
Rewards: ISK, LP, Gurista's Pirate Loot, and random optional Caldari faction loot.

Good idea and i like the transitions but I've got to say I'm more of a fan of the "not knowing I'm being taught how to play the game" style of NPE than the, ""WASD" are movement keys, lets move on".
Remember Halo 1 when they would set your view to inverted or not, by simply asking you to look up? not telling you to go to the settings and do it yourself, much more immersive. :)
