I look around at the bus stop called CCP. When an announcement is made that express bus 'charlie' will be leaving the station soon.
I see all the killing specialists get up to board the bus,but are suprised by a give-away.
A CCP representative hands them +1 slot,additional CPU/PG,and a box of 150 more eHP all a 0 cost or sacrifice.
I think to myself,'good for them it's been along time coming. Maybe i'll get something so i can be better at my role too.'
I watch as they are given some of the front seats,and i think 'it's ok,as an equipment specialist i'll get one of those seats too,because my role is just as important,just in a different way'. Boy was i wrong...
I wait until my turn and i walk up and ask 'since the killers are getting so much stuff can we supporters get something too?.'
I hear the crowd mumble something behind me. Something about layer..?
I continue 'our speed and regeneration in relation to our armor has been askew for a while,and with assaults having equal slots i think a speed and regeneration buff would be helpful for when i'm defenseless using my rep tool'
I hear someone in the crowd shout "SLAYER LOGI!!!"
I say "what?"
Then i hear "You want a buff for logis you're obviously a slayer!!!"
I say "No,i'm not! My KDR is .53!"
They respond "We don't care!"
I turn to see the killing specialists snickering saying "you should know your place,you logi!'
I turn back sorrowful that the other roles degrade me so much,maybe the CCP representative will understand...
Maybe they will see the target on my back for simply being a logi.
The representative doesn't respond no matter how much i beg,how much i plead,how many alternatives there are then just being easily killed and slow.
But the representative hands me the ticket and says "you should just be happy we aren't nerfing you..."
He then points and scoffs "Now get in the back of the bus with the sentinels!"
I'm left dumbfounded at the revelation that everyone but dedicated heavies and other logis view the support class with such contempt,and downright hatred.
But,what can i do?
Here at CCP only white people can sit in the front of the bus...

As a logi it isn't my job to kill things.
I only use my weapon if i have no other options,the other 99% of the time i have an equipment in my hands.
I usually make astounding amounts of WP though.

I am a logi with 2.5 kdr.
I went slayer logi once and I was pulling off 40+50+ kill games consistantly.
When I run equipment and use it my wp goes up by an extra1.5k points and I will get about 20-30 kills a game.
Your job may not be to kill but I still do one hell of a job no matter what I am doing depending on the situation. I am not always privileged of having a decent heavy who knows what they are doing standing in front of me 24/7. I try to help my team in every way possible. If a heavy dies in front of me, I will make damn sure that I will not stand there and give the enemy yet another kill. I will avenge my heavy brother with a vengeance like no other.

I was using the colors because it most accurately describes the situation logis are in right now.
Logis are the easiest killed in the game,scouts can simply strafe through gunfire and take 0 damage or just be impossible to kill or out regen damage and escape.
Heavies are slower but can take more damage.
Logis are 30 eHP away from being a scout yet are 1-2m (speed) from being a heavy.
See the problem?
And everyone is shrugging it off saying everything is "fine",as if repeating the lie over and over makes it true.

In charlie assaults are getting the logis slot layout,with 0 loss of speed and even an extra 150 eHP.
That's the problem.
Everything given to one and nothing but sarcasm given to the other.
Logis suffer stat wise for no good reason,after slots are equal logis shouldn't be slower or have less eHP than basics.
But no one sees this common sense.
Yet everyone wants logis 'to be kept in their place'.
Logis deserve speed and regen.

Don't pay attention to those naysayers. You do you and enjoy yourself. Know your place? give me a break. yes I know how to play logi and any good logi knows how to use their equipment but that does not limit me. The difference between a good logi that can spam equipment use and a great logi is determined by skill. Not by equipment use alone, but by skill and what you can do to help your team. I always have a starting plan for the first 2 minutes of the game but I never plan for mid game to end game because the game is constantly changing, evolving. Strategies must change on the fly and a good player can adapt to any situation.
Know my place? I would lose alot more games if I did not go out of my way for the team. I dislike playing as a pure slayer logi and my kdr will skyrocket if I use a slayer logi fit.. but it is not my fault that my normal logi fit that has nerfed high slots and low slot modules to be able to use proto equipment still gets more kills than bad players of other classes. I am not even that good lmfao. In competitive games... I can name a ton of players who can out kill alot better than I can. I have always played mostly support in pc games.
those who expect logis to suck... just can't accept the fact that they skilled into a role dedicated to killing and they are still bad. I know plenty of slayers who are true killers and would out do me but that is a small percent of the game. The majority of the player base is just plain bad and has no concept of strategy.

btw when I first started this game... my kdr was as low as yours. For the first month my kdr was .5 - .7 . It took me a couple months to go above 1.0 and half a year to get it to 2.0
I don't know how long you have been playing but one of the biggest factors for me improving was learning the maps inside and out. playing with different people and many different corps. learning strategies from a bunch of different sources that I could apply in pc and out of pc. Being social. Making friends and talking, learning their game play styles and strategies. Communication with my team.
You know I even bought a dren set... yea fml right. but even today I can use those suits and my kdr may drop but I can still maintain a 2.0 kdr most of the time. yes in a standard suit. (I do use them. I did not spend $100 to not use a suit)

There are plenty of people who can make a suit look great, and 10X more who can make a suit look ******. This game has an extremely high concentration of people who can NOT fight, looking for spreadsheets and percentages to account for some sort of gap in player skill. It never occurs to some people to "Get better at shooting" because the bulk of the playerbase are people who cant see past the immediate game at hand, or the fight in front of them in the light of the whole match. Some of you assholes keep bringing checkers to a chess game.
The good players and corps train, practice techniques, and lay out maps for tactical play. Plenty of the rest of us are stuck in mediocrity and below because we really are just "playing a shooting game". I refuse to train anything but my reflexes and that is what keeps me in the middle of the class. I'm ok with being average, more of you should get in this line and stop trying to look for a numerical excuse as to why.

I was posting my KD/R to prove i focus on keeping my allies killing more than i do myself.
I have 23million SP btw,i'm just more interested in doing more than just killing.

It never occurs to some people to "Get better at shooting" because the bulk of the playerbase are people who cant see past the immediate game at hand, or the fight in front of them in the light of the whole match. Some of you assholes keep bringing checkers to a chess game.
The good players and corps train, practice techniques, and lay out maps for tactical play. Plenty of the rest of us are stuck in mediocrity and below because we really are just "playing a shooting game". I refuse to train anything but my reflexes and that is what keeps me in the middle of the class. I'm ok with being average, more of you should get in this line and stop trying to look for a numerical excuse as to why.

It's not that those easy-mode suits (SC and HVY) are buffed themselves - there's just gonna be more variation.
And yes, the logis narrowly avoided nerfing on wrong basis (that's nerfing logis to 'make assaults popular').
People would enjoy Dust a lot more if they accepted the fact that EVERYTHING is subject to change

Logistics deserves respect as a specialist and it's getting such dis-respect that they considered nerfing them.
Logistics is being treated like a kid from a previous relationship,while Assaults are being treated like they're the only child.

But the representative hands me the ticket and says "you should just be happy we aren't nerfing you..."
He then points and scoffs "Now get in the back of the bus with the sentinels!"
I'm left dumbfounded at the revelation that everyone but dedicated heavies and other logis view the support class with such contempt,and downright hatred.
But,what can i do?

All the problems that the OP is having is probably because of a poor suit set up. I have a pro Callogi and to make up for the speed I use a kin cat. For the lack in shield recharge a Energizer. Don't blame it on your suit, have a close look at your set up. |

Logis are in a good place. If you have all your core skills to 5 and work hard on your equipment and not upgrading weapons you will be surprised. I can lay uplinks and hives and sit in my red line and still make over 1K WP. So I am not sure what your asking for?
