Assaults are supposed to be the go to killers.
How about we incentise that point... How,you may ask.
Kill streaks.
+5 additional wp per kill up to 75 maximum. So,1st kill would be 50. 2nd 55 3rd 60 Etc.
But kill streaks reset upon death.
Maybe even a display to say 'slayer' supreme' with their name underneath in combat. (this ties in with a later suggestion regarding heavies and scouts)

I think Assaults should also get a WP bonus for killing someone who was damaging another team-mate.
This would also help Pilots, as it would reward players for killing of those persistent AVers.

This is a much better idea than the OP's kill streak plan. Limiting it to assaults is wrong though. This is a bonus that everyone has access too.
Why is it better you ask? Well, let me explain. The bonus Atiim has proposed creates incentives to work as a team. Protecting squad mates and thus developing a more tactical, and well organized form of game play. Kill streaks incentivize individual play and are counter to the "tactical team shooter" genre which includes Dust.

Assaults are assaults for a reason,they shouldn't hold back for a heavy,they should be able to clear a moderately defended area solo.
Running to logis and depots for refills. letting scouts reveal enemies. And letting heavies defend those conqured areas.
Assaults are solo to an extent,unless assaulting with other assaults.
