So here are random ideas for FULL SQUADS iv'e been having lately. I think that individual gameplay is very fun but we have all explored to its full depth the limits of a single merc. Now its time to start getting into Organized squads.
The concept is pretty simple. in MAG it was almost a RULE for high level players to carry the equivalent to our Dust514 Nanite injectors. EVERYBODY would carry these and it was proof of MAG's superior teamwork strategies. Now consider the following:
1 Cal Scout 4 Cal Assaults 1 Cal Logi
All 6 Soldiers would carry 1 Nanite Injector the Scout should CArry The Nanite and a Cloak The Logi would carry the Nanite, an A.scanner in case the Scout is downed and 2 Proto Hives.
The idea is simple. Nanite injectors Recover a certain amount of Armor. But ,due to some strange reason i dont fully comprehend, shields are always restored to their 100% capacity, or at least to 75% and then keep regenerating. This means that This Caldari Squad would get in a room, clear, revive their downed team mates and have them full shields inmediatley.
The cal scout always runs cloaked very close to the rest of the squad: he provides passive scanning , emergency revives and Covers the advance of the squad (their backs)
The Cal logi, hes a Tank. He soaks up bullets, attacks , provides ARMOR REP AND AMMO to the rest of the squad (though nanohives). Of course he also revives and Scans in the case the Scout is not around At the moment (dead, hacking a not so close objective,changing fits etc...)
The Assaults would just KILL and Revive.Advancing at a solid pace with a variety of weapons that suit them L AR's and RR's for example.

As much as I loved the Med Kit from MAG, it was GROSSLY overpowered, though I wouldn't mind it being that way in Dust/Legion. It might make nanite injectors viable. |

Thats the point of my post. It is viable, at least for Caldari Soldiers....

It'd work, until you need Anti-Vehicle support.
In which case, you'd want a Caldari Commando. Not to mention that (s)he could provide suppression with a SR or RR, which will weaken foes and in-turn, make kills easier.
And on that day, that very day, not a single Pilot lived...

There is a reason nanite injectors DONT restore shields when you pick someone up with it. This game is already unbalanced in game play as it is so making a nanite injector fully restore shields as well as a portion of armor would just be too overpowered. You would have too many logistics characters on the field constantly repping and nanite injecting Heavies to a point thats all there would be on the field. Scouts and assault class characters would be obsolete.
I let my sniper rifle bullet to your face do all the talking :P

I think a better tactic would be:
5 Minmitar Logis 1 Amarr scout Logis carrying Rep tools, nanite injector and nanohive Scout carrying Cloak and Dropuplinks Just have all the logis change out repping and shooting while nanite injecting downed team mates making a constant push on the enemy and the scout just runs around dropping drop uplinks for the logis to constantly spawn on. lol well it worked in beta (ambush was fun with full squads of nothing but logistics characters )

If there is something i learned from MAG is that ta Zombie Squad always wins.
There is no way a single , or even 2 Amarr Proto SCR users can take down 6 Cal soldiers, Specially the cloaked Scout.
Amn only ONE is needed to survive and the whole squad is revived. How long can the Amarr soldiers keep downing the Cal soldiers?
Again,its not Equipment focused but more of a matter of skill. If we talk about equally skilled players, at least 5 AMarr SCR users would be needed to down this squad.

Or 6 cal Logis With a pwerful defensive Nanohive spam? The thing is i wanted to abuse the fact Nanite injectors Restore Full Shields, and Caldaris are prime shield tankers XD

pretty solid squad . Many swap one cal assault for a cal sentinal or commando for AV and flanc watching purposes . Also I'm sure the specialist proto needle in the cal loyalty store revives you with 100% armour .

They don't do that either.
What's actually happening is that your shields are regenerating while you're dead.
It's similar to the way your armour regens if you're dead on a triage hive; you can tell it's happened especially when you're rezzed with an MLT needle.
It would seem like wisdom, but for the warning in my heart...
