When are scouts being nerfed?
I'm being dead serious. Just had a battle where my team got stomped by scouts. 120+ clones left on their side while we had about 20 clones left when our MCC was destroyed.
I'm getting tired of having almost every other opponent be a scout that uncloaks with a proto combat rifle or something else ridiculous. That and their ridiculous bunny hopping, impossible to keep up with strafe speeds, lousy hit detection against Cal scouts....
Seriously, nerf them already! Take away a slot, reduce PG/CPU, limit to sidearms only, damage nerf on light weapons (on scouts), something!
Scouts are better slayers than assaults can ever dream to be!

Perhaps they are just good?
I never seem to have any trouble with scout stomping....
MY SP BRINGS ALL THE MERCS TO THE CHANNEL AND THEY ARE LIKE "Do you wanna squad up?" DAMN RIGHT I WANNA SQUAD UP

Hear me out here, I know this concept is very complicated. If scouts are good, heavies are good, logis are good, and commandos are good, but assaults are bad. Instead of nerfing scouts, why not buff assaults. Notice how then every suit becomes good Amazing isn't it, the way balance works?
P.S. Aren't you an amarr assault? If you are you have no right to complain. |

My 421 armor doesn't stand up to a scout that bunny hope and wields a proto combat rifle. Now, if I had 842 armor, that'd be a different story and I'd actually stand a chance.

He has a point. Scouts have too much fitting room. Can have similar hp levels to an assault as well as being invisible, faster and have the ability to see most things passively. It does need balancing. |

all i say that should be fixed is the extra equipment slot
limit it to 1, and leave logis to the extra slots so they can carry team adding goodies

They cqn fit whatever they want in most cases and removing the equipment slot wouldnt change that. |

I was in a match once when a heavy was invisible and camping at a CRU, so it's not just one weapon.

I think the power of the weapons should be changed rather than the suits. Shotgun has an effective range of about 15m, if they get close enough you should die after 1-2 shots. It is a shotgun after all. |

Scout should be paper thin, 1 hp paper thin, like a 5% reduction to PG/CPU and remove 1 high and low slot from each tier.
Scouts can have their FotM shotgun I don't care about the weapon.
No hit box on a scout mean they shouldn't be a powerful as they are. A scout shouldn't out class any other class. I shouldn't have to drop an entire clip into a scout. |

I was in a battle yesterday, an ambush to be precise. It was myself running solo - I was put into a 7 man team (including myself) against at least 1 full proto squad in an enemy team of 12 or more.
It was infuriating having 3 or more enemy scouts appear out of nowhere.
However I will not call for scout nerfs as I know that this game ALWAYS skews balance perception because of the poor matchmaking alone.
That being said, I did manage to scramble one or two of those proto scouts who thought they were un-spottable because they were cloaked. Ahh I do enjoy shooting at cloakers. I also enjoy running a scout so I see things from both perspectives.
Right now we are nearly at a good balance point. Once assault receive buffs and then they balance sidearms.... I honestly feel the game will be in good shape. However we will still be left with poor matchmaking and that alone is half of the battle in this game!!

How would giving scouts a larger penalty to fitting plates and extenders sound?

Oops, I was just informed they were in a medium suit with a rail rifle.
In real life, if you're shot in the body when wearing body armour, you'd only get minor injuries.
They don't show up on my radar when they're invisible, so I can't help but get snuck up on. I take great pleasure in killing shotgunners. |

I'm not saying there's no imbalance with the suits, scouts do seem to have it a little easier at the moment,
but if the scout is running a proto combat rifle I think it's safe to say that scout isn't a noob. In which case they were probably just a really good squad of scout players. Everyone has a hard time going up against a squad of good players. |

/rant They're only threats up close because they can strafe up close. Mediums strafe better afar. Nerf scouts? Commandos and logistics can use cloaks. Just make them a bit slower so people can catch up remove kincats and make it not allow scouts to exceed 400 total hp |
