I played with some snipers who were on the Mic feeding us info, protecting us with some great fire, and taking objectives. It would be a little harder to hate on snipers in any fps if they all played this way.

Okay so I'm a sniper and so are most of my friends on Dust. We play battles to have fun and get some kills. Lately we've been receiving so many rude messages from Assault guys about us camping on the side lines and not helping our team by hacking letters. Do Assaults not understand what the definition of a Sniper is, and what their duties are on the battle field? Well for one Snipers do not go down and hack letters and run around doing an Assault job because we are not fully equipped to do that. We do in fact sit on the side lines and help our team. We are not there just to "camp". If you guys think that all we do is camp and sit there on the hill and laugh when our team gets shot, then you're entirely wrong. We actually help you assaults when a red is trying to attack you from your blind side and we do protect our letters. We can't watch all letters at once that's almost entirely impossible on certain Maps. For some battles that us Snipers play, we try and kill most of the red infantries so you blue Assaults can either hack the letters or recharge your suits. We do not just sit there and watch you guys get shot if we can help it. But lately our maps have been glitching and being weird so half the time we don't see them or we get shot ourselves. We help our matches just as much as the assaults. We get so much grief from assaults it's not even funny I'm tired of immature people. OR the ones who are actually on the blue team and just stand in front of us Snipers when we're trying to help our team win the battle and they won't move try shooting us an/or distract us and then after the battles over, they send us a nasty letters saying we didn't do anything to help our team. If that's not hypocritical I don't know what is. I normally don't rant about this kind of stuff, but it's really getting out of hand and people need to grow up and realize it's only a game. Well maybe if you weren't such a snot people would save you. But we've saved so many assaults form the Red's that it's too many to count. So considering us useless try a few battles without us, then you'd probably be dead for most the battle. And we've saved countless letters from turning to red. =) But thanks for the input..

Its when you're in a hard match againt a stacked team and you suddenly realise your squad is alone on the map because the other 10 players have given up and are sniping from the redline to preserve their precious KDR. That's when you lose a lot of respect for sniping. When I have to counter snipe a thales by getting hard up against the redline. Getting 4 consecutive head shots to do so because he's in a heavy suit and the end of match screen shows he was at 500m. That's when you loose a lot of respect for sniping. When I've been able to move into a position and effectivly wipe their team of snipers because they always sit in the same places in the redline, many bunching up next to each other without the situational awareness to realise the two guys next to them just died. That's when you lose a lot of respect for sniping. I've never sniped from the redline, and I know many good snipers don't either. But you have to understand that its one of the most commonly used exploits in the game and has been abused since the game began. What is their problem is that they suck and can't carry their team like I can. :p So they need an army of meatshields to use as cover fire as they try and run and pad their poor kdr's. There are times where me and my friends hack letters when no reads are around. But it's not easy when you don't have a scrambler pistol or assault riffle on hand. But I'm saying is...I'm just sick of Assaults messaging us saying we don't do crap for the team. When we do. And Right-wing, yes, us snipers give the people in our squad heads up and try and help as much as possible. But when your sniping having a real fun time helping the team, they come over and just hit you and distract you run in front of you then later message you saying you don't do crap for the team, then tell us we're worthless pieces of Sh*t. I don't have that fair nor necessary. I'm on Dust to have fun and that's it. But people like that just irritate me and need to grow up and realize it's a GAME!...
