I'm a Gallente tech specialist, and I've carried the Logibro ethic into every suit that I've spec'ed into, and I had one question.
Is it the Logistics suit that makes the Logibro, or is it the 'support first' mentality?
I find myself just as much of a support player when I put on my G/1 Scout Medic fit as any time I'm in my Logi suit. When I'm on my G/1 Commando, I know that saving a blue dot sprinting for cover can be done with my Lai Dai Flux Repair Tool, or my GLU-5 TAR.
Does anyone else out there regularly play as a Logibro, even if their suit doesn't have as many equipment slots? |

You are a thinking man's DUST'er and I applaud you.
This forum needs smarter posts.
To answer your question it's the mentality...in my opinion of course.
Dominion over others is given not taken. Nothing has power over you but your own fear.

Yes it is, and a guy I used to play with called Road K!ll is the epitome of what it means to be a logibro. Throws down uplinks in good places that don't get camped easily, throws down nanohives where they're needed, and once he latches on with his leash of love he'll follow you into the depths of hell. He doesn't care if he gets kills or if he gets killed as long as he is helping a team member he's content.
Can't say I'm all that surprised.
I've been drinking and may be drunk.... probably like most dust players.

I think there is a fine line between a support class and a logi...
while most class suits can fill the role of support, only the logi suit can truly serve as the eve/ new eden definition of logi.
it is, with all grey area aside the healer class, hive, stick, rep. and the only class with a 10% buff (minmitar, though all should have it imo) to reps.
now a support logi is a sub class all of its own either carrying links, hives, remotes, reps, stick, but diverging from the 3 Rs of a true logi (rep, resupply, revive)
a support logi or slayer logi may carry a repper or a stick, but they are more focused on keeping the links up, keeping the enemy suppressed, and or keeping objectives and choke points trapped, repping to the slayer, support logi is a secondary concern. |

Indulge me: Caspar- Okay, kid. Think about it. It's a mental state. If it'll help you think, you should know that if you don't do this thing, you're not gonna be in any shape to walk out of here. Tom- Would that be physically, or just a mental state?
K/D(r) WP/D(r) matchmaking fixes the whole game. Period.

I've reacted with confusion and frustration when I couldn't pull out a rep tool to suck the triage WP out of a friendly because I forgot I was playing in a different dropsuit, does that count? |

I agree, but then again I personally don't like killing. I prefer the more passive roles - Ewar scout, Support logi ect.
If I had the choice and the game mechanics allowed it more easily I'd be a transport pilot 24/7

I think it is. I have the Gal Logi to level 3, and it's the only Gallente suit i haven't taken to 5 because ...i don't logi. Even when i try to do it, it's my second priority after staying alive and killing nearby threats. The logi-est thing i usually do is uplinking. I'm grateful for those who dedicate to support us and i have no trouble sending ISK to my logibro when he's short, because you guys let us have a better time in battle and perform better, plus your stuff is expensive. Logi-ing is something i wouldn't do myself. |

After almost 2 years I've come to the conclusion that support is where I'm more effective. I've been having a blast logi'ing lately, but it's going to take a while to get back in the logibro state of mind.

A LogiBro is not just a state of mind, it is you. It is when you longer care about how much ISK you lose, how much you die, not even if you win as long as your friends are safe. Logiing, when most intense, is a form of self-sacrifice. For more on it's true meaning, read the LogiBro Code in the Rookie Training Section

A real logi controls the ebb and flow of battle if they are using proto equipment.
There's just as much skill involved as slaying, its just a different ball game.
Dodging bullets and being aware is key, you should be constantly analysing the situation.
In the end, the better you do, the more you earn.

And that's why you and me rarely die. I walk backwards with my rep tool attached to my heavy, glancing at the Minimap to see if he's changing direction. Tip right there to all
