So if friends attack friends and just farm WP for SP, money is still lost I suppose. However this provides for an advantage too much I think.

I don't really see how it could be exploited if the cap remained the same as pubs. Though it certainly could if the cap was doubled as well because I remember when I was in a PC corp that locked districts. We'd just sit there taking turns hacking a supply depot the whole match. Could get over 10k WP's easily in a hack suit netting around 20k sp without a booster on a non-sp event day.
But since you specifically excluded a doubled cap, I don't see much potential for exploitation.
Can't say I'm all that surprised.

I just don't see why a certain section of players need another benefit..... its not like they are doing anything special but choosing to fight other corporations that are as organised as they are....... there is absolutely nothing special about engaging in a fair fight.

Because that section of the playerbase -the proto stompers- will be more likely playing pc battles than pubs due to the better incentives which right now barely exist due to the removal of passive isk generation.
To me the benefit of this is the veterans will cap out in 1/2 the time if they were to play purely pc, that said playing purely pc is highly unlikey, and as a result play a lot less pubs. It is well known that once a player is "capped" he/she feels less inclined to play the game meaning the veteran playerbase will be reduced aswell as more isolated.

Proto stompers don't play to cap out, they play to stomp.

I don't know, I see a lot of proto stompers throughout the whole week.
Edit: And if you think about it, if there was only a high concentration of proto stompers 2 days out of the week (most I know only take a day or 2 to cap out), people wouldn't complain about them much.

Obviously there will always be protostomper, that we cant change without uttterly changing the whole mechanics of the game, however there are ways to reduce the number of them. This is one of those ways.
