Or I could just remove my armor plate and save 12 PG but that means that slot goes to waste. Just like PG upgrade wastes slots.
Also- aren't Amarr suits suppose to have the most CPU and PG out of all the other suits.

Invest some SP into fitting optimization, it is more than worth it. Stop complaining about other suits, the Amarr Assault needs a few tweaks here and there but overall it is a magnificent suit, it takes skill to run it properly and effectively.
Check the Assault ak.0 registry for some of my fits

Your problem is two complex plates on an assault suit. Downgrade them at least to enhanced and you free up some PG for yourself. Complex plates are terrible on an assault suit, they slow you down so much and the difference between enhanced and complex is not that great. The speed you gain is easily worth it.
I tested a fitting on protofits, I donGÇÖt know where you are with your cores, but I was able to fit this on an ak.0 with one point invested in ScR fitting optimization:
2 x complex armour repair
2 x enhanced plate
2 x complex shield extender
1 x enhanced damage mod
PRO ScR
PRO SMG
Locus grenade
K-2 nanohive
EHP 837
I have never proto stomped but now that DUST 514 is dead I can do it without remorse!! 355 million ISK to go.

No medium frame can fit all proto stuff, you already have the highest CPU and PG out of all assaults, and you just got an extra low slot while other assaults got nothing.
All the assaults are getting buffed very soon. Stop all this meaningless complaining.

My Ak.0 fit is as follows:
Viziam ScR
Templar ScP/Toxin smg
3x Complex damage mods (or 2x complex damage mod and 1 complex shield extender, for survivability)
Compact nanohive
2x complex plates + 2 complex reps
OR
3x complex plates + 1 complex rep (I really don't prefer this setup unless I am to remain in a static position and need to defend a point/high ground).
You have to learn to compromise. You cannot have everything you want.

Amarr assault is fine. It has the best fitting power of any assault suit. (The suit that's horrifically PG deficient is the Amarr logi.)
If you compare it to the Gal scout, that's kinda pointless. Now, if you want to talk buffing the fitting power of all the Assaults, that's another matter.
...or, honestly, solve the real problem, which is how ridiculously easy it is to fit a Gal scout.

Meh I always figured it did anyway, looking at the simple requirements to fit it's specialized weaponry and the PG intensive needs of it. Which I like btw.. limits certain suits from brick tanking with it.
-Assaults where the original balance intent in Concept for DUST 514. The idea in beta and how DUST's suit fitting worked.. Was mercenaries had to choose when fitting their suits.
Do you want a Proto-weapon? and crapper "Tank" modules and other stuff? or can you make a STD weapon work with Proto-type Modules.. Every suit had a limit that was carefully designed or so it seemed to be 1-2 CPU or PG short of fitting that perfect Proto fit.
Fast forward to DUST 514 of today and when they balanced the new suits and tweaked suits in 1.8.. They just allowed them to do a full proto load out with stuff to spare. Really it feels like there was no thought at all put into the PG and CPU because it almost seems random and laughable with some suits full proto and 40 CPU 18 PG to spare.
Assaults are just stuck in the past concept of DUST with meaning, thought and care.. now it's just Rattati trying to clean the broken pieces from this terrible mis-managed IP of lost hopes and dreams.  |
