so what if more of the things we used had some type of downside to it besides the common "the downside of X is less HP" or "they take a lot of pg/cpu to fit". well obviously you are going to have less HP, anything you put on besides hp you are going to have less, but that's not the point in having them anyway, the point of putting some module on is to have some sort of advantage over the enemy.
i had a few thoughts for what i would find reasonable for downsides of certain modules.
precision enhancers - allow you to scan people easier downside - you have 2%/3%/4% less scan range
range amplification - allows you to scan further downside - your own scan profile becomes higher
kin kat - allows you to run faster downside - you have less total stamina
dmg mods - allows more dps per bullet downside - slower RoF by 3%/4%/5%
(cant think of much else since some to most of everything has a penalty or drawback)
im thinking this because this in some way would make you think more about what you want to fit, what you should be aware of and what advantages it will give you.
i also want to say that CCP should add more information on the suits when you are making a fit so you know exactly what you are changing, how much dmg you will do, how well you can scan, range of scanning and etc. it is very important that we know these things instead of having to manually calculate the numbers (like we do that) just so we know what we have and can do

I've found a hole in your armor. Were this to happen hypothetically it would cause some serious issues with the Laser Rifle. Now I constantly use the Laser Rifle, so I know that the longer I hold the fire button the more damage I'll output. Thing is if these damage mods were made true then that means that the Laser Rifle would be getting a double edged sword effect while all other guns, that I can think of, would still be hindered by the decreased rate of fire. Basically meaning I'll be able to shoot just as much but use less ammo when firing, and I'd be getting the damage bonus. I do like the idea of those other modules though, it's just that damage module that gave me a bit of sore eye lol, personally I'd rather not have a bunch of "FOTM players" use my Laser Rifle as their play toy.
