It was another hot day, the two binary stars baking the old red ground. Bojo stared across the lot. The monitor lizards licked the air and basked upon rocks. The rocks were positioned in a way similar to The Lion King. A tall man, wearing a dusty grey hat and a thick funky mustache approached little boy Bojo.
"Pa." Bojo peskered "Why do we have to be lizard farmers?" The man, Bojo's father, sighed with a silent force. "Son, when I was your age, I wanted to be a gambler, an entrepreneur. I wanted to" he giggled to himself. "I wanted to buy fancy things, I wanted to be among the immortals...." His brow sank, showing either a sign of a crushed heart, caged in the despair of a sealed fate as a lizard farmer, or of the tacos he ate the hour before.
He looked back into the green or maybe brown eyes of Bojo, his son. "Pa" Bojo peskered again. "Are we going to the Bazaar today?" "Yes Bojo, we're going to the Bazaar." He cracked a smile and pointed into the lizard enclosure. "We're even selling ol' Bessy. We're sure to fetch a fair price for her." Bessy was the pride and joy of the Mighty family. She was a 7 foot long albino monitor lizard. Her skin would fetch them a good price in the market. "But Pa I like Bessy!" Bojo protested. "Don't sell her!" he pleaded. "Bojo, she's gonna put food on the table. Things are tight boy, especially with your newborn sister."
Bojo returned his gaze upon the lizards who gracefully sprawled themselves upon hot smooth rocks.
Later that afternoon, at the Bazaar (Scene Music)
The Bazaar was packed full of people. Blue smoke poured from Jaza Street where drug dealers fronted as salt merchants. Bojo thought they were hot **** but he would mature over time, and become the very source....but that is another story.
Bojo whacked the ground with a two meter stick to keep the herd in line. The monitor lizards dragged their bellies across the street, licking the air as they waddled. Bojo's father strode ahead of the heard, dragging the Alpha male on a leash. They paraded their herd for half a kilometer before arriving at the stall. His mother was already there, haggling price with the slaughterhouse.
Slaughterhouse. Such a backwater planet where population was so low the masses were still fed by lizard farms. Planet Ala Bama
The herd was sold and Bojo said a last goodbye to Bessy his most beloved lizard. Bojo squatted down and thumped the ground with his hands, much like patting your thighs when you want a dog to come to you.....but for monitor lizards. Bessy took a forward step but came to a sudden pause. She raised he head slightly, cocking it anxiously. Then with great surprise Bessy took off as fast as she could down the street.
"Look Pa! It's a sign, a sign that we should keep Bessy!" Bojo exclaimed.
A shriek broke Bojo's wonder. But then railgun blasts 1 block down rang out and everyone ran away. Like a flock of birds everyone took off down the avenue. Bojo's father scooped him up and ran with the crowd. His mother was near behind. Then came the explosions, the terrible bangs, the confoozled booms, the horrid whizzing of rockets. They went overhead, leaving a dazzling trail of sparks but then ceased to be graceful, exploding viciously ahead of them and leaving thick black clouds of smoke. They could hardly see, but Bojo's father carried him straight through it. His father ran into a man in the smoke. As it cleared, Bojo looked back over the shoulder of his father and saw the dismembered victim fall upon the ground, and the sad part of it was that he really didn't have a leg to stand on.
No one saw it coming. Z38 Street ended at a T and as soon as the crowd crossed onto Bricks Boulevard LAVs ambushed them from their blind side. They blocked the whole south end of Bricks and the crowd panicked. Most turned but were met by soldiers who had creeped in behind them from the alleys. Bojo's parents dipped into an alley but a rail flechette caught his father in the ankle and he fell, spilling Bojo onto the gravel. Bojo scraped his knee.
Bojo's mother dragged his father out of the street and propped him against a doorway. She turned to Bojo and with teary eyes said to him "Say goodbye to pa"
Soldiers cut the scene short. They stepped into the alley. Bojo's mother, Amarrian born & raised who adventured her way across the galaxy to this backwater Caldari planet, was always packin' a CAR-9 Burst Scrambler pistol. She quickly flicked her wrist from her hip and dropped her knee down to the ground. 3 shots illuminated the alleyway, frying the brains out of one soldier. The others brought quick and swift death to Bojo's mother. She dropped to the ground, holes littering her body.
Bojo cried, his face turned raspberry red in a margarita of fear, deep great sadness, anger, more fear. The Caldari soldiers backed out of the alley, except for one. He waited for the soldiers to leave before pulling out a nova knife. The edge pulsated a blue aura as it charged. He took a step forward before a deep hollow voice brought him to a halt.
"Leave the child," A magnificent knight in golden armor stood behind the Caldari. "Official business" he stated. His golden gun was at the ready. Across the stock of the rifle in small letters, really impossible to read from anywhere beyond a foot, it was printed Carthum Assault. The soldier looked back upon Bojo and spat on him. Then he walked away, past the savior.
The man in armor approached Bojo, revealing his face. "Come with me" he commanded. Bojo, still crying and with more of a early-morning-sky red face, took his hand.

(Intro Music)
Bojo fiddled with the weapon in his hands. He looked, with teary eyes, as the Amarr Shuttle broke out from the atmosphere of Planet Ala Bama. The knight, now free of his magnificent armor, flew the shuttle into space, towards a jump-gate. Bojo's sister had been lulled to sleep in the rear cabin. Bojo looked down, dripping a tear onto the Scrambler Pistol, that was once his mother's.
The knight flipped some switches, then took a glance back at the sobbing child. He swiveled his seat and faced Bojo. There was nothing he could say, not yet anyways, to sooth Bojo. The biggest bomb in Bojo's life had been dropped, his parents were taken right before him.
The knight sighed. He turned and opened a console. He fiddled with some controls and Bojo's seat reclined. Bojo was startled and stood up but the knight was behind him, and asked him to lay down.
"It's going to be a very long time, I think you should sleep."
Bojo was still centered on the death of his parents, but he was coaxed to lay down on the bench. The knight handed little Bojo a mask and Bojo, with hesitation, put it on. In a matter of moments he was unconscious and perhaps it was a coincidental metaphor for the next 13 years of his life: he was dormant, yet growing.

Bojo smiled as the door shut between him and his master. Little did he know that there was spinach stuck between his teeth. The door shut and the image of his master and his little sister waving goodbye, burned into his mind. Bojo was happy with glee. It was F day, he was liberated. He was free from the lessons, from the bureaucracy that chained his sister, the duchess to be.
Bojo turned and walked down the hall, into his hangar. His Crucifier hung in the air, it was beautiful.
Scene Music [Scene Title] Batman Begins
The Crucifier tore out of the station like a bat out of hell. Afterburners glowed a magnificent blue as the Tararan IV logistics station became a speck of insignifance in the distance. The cosmos were great; Bojo could never sicken of them. But Bojo had sickened of Tararan IV, he felt like he had been locked up like Rapunzel, except without the fabulous hair. He was glad that he was not heir to the throne though, a burden his sister inherited.

Jump gate after jump gate, Bojo was on his way to Sinq Laison > Algintal > Jolia > Jolia I Moon I where his friends awaited him, and his new home...
It was a long and arduous trip, but safe. Even should banditos intervene on Bojo's path he was prepared; A pulse laser and blaster were at his disposal. But it was of no concern. His ship was fast and low profile.
