Hey everyone. I'm trying to find specific numbers for uplink spawn times. I'm also wondering when the bonus the Amarr logi receives applies. Specifically, I'm interested to know how the spawn reduction time (in terms of a percentage) bonus from the Amarr Logi effects the spawn time (in seconds) for each type of drop uplink. I was reading the notes for hotfix Charlie and a post lead me to believe that the current bonus to the uplinks dropped by an Amarr logi stop applying when your clone dies. Is this true or is there more to it than that? Does the bonus still apply when you change suits but haven't died? How about if you respawn in that same logi suit?
Any info would be helpful

The base spawn time is 10 seconds. So a militia uplink, which has a 50% spawn time modifier, will have a spawn time of 15 seconds. The amarr logi bonus only apllies when the person who laid down the uplinks is in an amarr logi suit. If your clone is terminated the bonus won't apply. However, if you respawn in the same suit, it will apply again. |

I always thought this was a dumb thing. If the person in the suit drops them while in the suit then the logi bonus SHOULD apply forever, even if the player is killed or changes to a new suit. But if the player drops another uplink, call it uplink B, while "NOT" in the amarr logi suit then no bonus should apply.
The bonus should stick if the player dropped the link while in the suit, even if the player gets killed or changes suits. Otherwise what's the point.

Occasionally I'll see every single uplink on the map set at 3 seconds. Even if I throw different tiers of uplinks I will still see them all at 3 seconds sometimes. Why is this? Also, why do the spawns sometimes count down even when you havent chosen a spawn location yet?

For every second you wait for a pick up the timer goes down with a minimum of 3 seconds.
If you are terminated then the regular spawn time for that link applies.

I agree.
I find it both comical and disappointing that an Amarr Logi can never recieve the benefit of his own uplinks. CCP put this down to possible abuse of dropping A-Logi uplinks then switching out to another suit... I am no so sure they should be even trying to police this.

I agree completely that the bonus should not disappear when you die, it drives me absolutely freaking nuts that I have to wait a year to spawn back in when I spend so much ISK and SP on the freaking supa uplinks.
The bonus should stay active unless you spawn in with another suit, not on death!
However, I disagree with those that say the bonus should stay with the equipment and not the suit. This would result in even worse spam and supply depot abuse as everyone would spawn in an Amarr suit, carpet bomb the map with uplinks, and then switch into another suit, like Caldari, spam some hives, and then finally go into their suit of choice.
It would also make the bonus OP (or at least unbalanced) in that, unlink the min or gal logi's, you wouldn't have to be using a logi suit to take advantage of the bonus. I think it's quite fair that you have to actually be in the suit to take advantage of the suit's bonus. Every single other suit in the game works that way.
Anyone who says otherwise, if you ask me, is no logi - probably just a spammer who wants to farm WP and then get to work in a scout or heavy suit.
