I saw in a thread that CCP was talking about adding new pistols.
Just to throw my ideas ion the hopper,
a burst pistol - 2-3 shots from the gun and you get three or four of these, because the barrel heats up really quickly and cools off slowly.
a sawed off shotgun - 2 barrels, but a long reload time
CCP seems to be trying to replicate the main weapons in the sidearms, this wouldn't complete the set, but it fleshes it out.
I don't see them making a pistol version of the HMG, Forge, or Plasma |

Burst Pistol already exists : The CAR-9 Burst Scrambler Pistol it is really fun
Also where did you see this thread new pistols were just added not that long ago.

Hmg=Smg
Forge=Bolt pistol
Plasma cannon= Why would you need that
