Well as I go through skill trees I read the handheld weapon modules as " such as damage mods " so are here going to be more? Im gonna make a quick few ideas for you ccp.
Cooling system ( must have a gun that can over heat ) Reduces the time for the weapon ti cool down by using a custom made cooling system that uses a high quality cooling fluid that can cool extreame heat in secounds ( or somthing like that )
Basic = -5% overheat time ( not shure what slot ) 15cpu 4pg ( just rough figures ) Advanced = -7.5 or 8 % overheat time 28cpu 7pg Complex = - 10% overheat time 50cpu 10pg Just rough figures
Energy amplerfyer ( cant spell ) ( must have a weapon that requiers or can charge )
Using ( stored super chared energy or somthing ccp can make up ) the energy amplerfyer can help charge weapons charge faster but it may result it a much quicker heat bulid up.
Basic = -3% charge time ( slot immnot shure of ) ( cpu and pg should be a larger amount than damage mods ) Advanced = -5% charge time Complex = -7% charge time
Hope you guys and gals at ccp see this and leave feedback and I would also like to see, you guys advertise a little bit ( in psn store or on tv on youtube or any where. Ive seen eve advertisements on a ad in a game on my phone but if you could get publicty you could jump player base alot. Any way keep up the work ^-^

Nah nothing more is going on there, also even if they did make more mods for that I don't think they would make it for specific weapons, like the charge mod wouldn't do anything on a AR or a CR, if it they were going to add mods it would be for all the weapons like a ROF mod or Clip size mod, something that affects all weapons. |

We can't have those either... Well its just gonna say fit invalid if it wont make a differance Also maybe a bullet/projectile speeed mod ( faster speed so projectile reaches destonation quicker

No need to 'invalid' a fitting.
If i put Heavy dmg mods on a Logi am i suddenly unable to deploy?
Example mods:
Effective Range mod: high slot RoF mod: low slot Backup ammo mod: low slot: no fitting costs, has a penalty of 1% to speed
Recoil mod: low slot Heat sink: increases the rate at which heat is disapated, as well as decreases build up. Emergency coolant system: reduces weapon sieze, example %, 25%, 30%, 35%.

These are good ideas, and I would think not to difficult for CCP to implement.
Faster charge-up time - low slot
Ammo cash (thanks IWS) - low slot
